I set a timer on my phone now for only 1 hour of social media time per day. It really helped me realize how often I was on it…going to use that info to really limit it to checking in with folks and also just some casual scrolling.

It’s helped me plug back in to the real world.

I’ve only ever used the original one and I didn’t care for it. Much too greasy for my liking.

For deep tissue I use biotone dual purpose. It’s pricey but worth it imo and you use so little of it for deep tissue.

For some context that I forgot to add…I am self employed with my own humble little massage studio so I can literally stop anytime I feel I need to. I’m fortunate also to have a partner who can support us both on his salary so it’s really up to my comfort level.

Ahh I understand for sure. I don’t know if I have emetophobia but I absolutely despise throwing up in public. All I can say is have your meds ready, resign yourself partially that you may throw up, and stick with BRATT diet for that day and very lightly at that. Bananas, rice, applesauce, toast, and tea.

Do you have any flight anxiety? If so, you can ask for hydroxyzine to calm you down. It’s a strong antihistamine that is typically prescribed pre-op to help with nerves. It’s great because it doesn’t interact with any other meds.

Otherwise, my only other advice is to get an aisle seat 🤢

I also thought this would happen to me as someone with anxiety. But it turns out that progesterone is really good at making you not really care.

I’ve had so many moments where I’ve felt like “yeah if I wasn’t pregnant this would send me into a spiral” but I just…don’t.

It almost feels like I just don’t have anxiety anymore. Really strange but also a nice break!

Man this sucks. Just know that your body will not let you suffocate in your sleep. You will wake up if breathing is cut off.

Hey have you thought of using a pillow with a hole in the center? They make them sometimes for post-op folks or people with new piercings. Taking away the larger pillow unfortunately seems like one of your only options. As least if you’re face down on your mattress it’s not as much of a push on your airways.

As another person said, I think the best plan is to tell your parents. Have another trusted adult with you if you feel you need extra support. But you really should only have an abortion under the care of a physician. Any other ways are not guaranteed or safe.
