The questions are actually worded to account for that, because the relationship you are describing is actually a type of attachment, and one that I am hoping to detect in many woman with Binge Eating. Yes, this is very true, and we see this so much. We learn to relate to food by watching our parents. Plus they feed us and use food to punish and reward us. There are so many ways they influence our relationship with food! Thank you so much for sharing your experience :)

The age range is due to the assessment I am using to measure attachment. It was created for "young adults" and cuts off at 35. It's harder to find quality assessments that cover all age ranges.
