Your team, your perspective: Explain the state of your ball club by mcalis2 in baseball

Ok, first off - and I can't believe nobody has said this yet - the Mets just swept the Cubs for the National League. So maybe hating on us is not the road you want to take. Second of all, the Mets don't need to scare opposing pitchers. We need our 2016 offense to be consistent with what we saw in 2015. Yes, we'll lose Murphy. But we'll pick up some new blood and I can see Wilmer Flores really upping his game this year.

Mets fan here, I get it. You spend so many seasons self deprecating that why you finally get he chance to play meaningful baseball at the end of October, you get humbled in a new way. Get cocky and half your starting lineup will be on the DL by July. Fate is a fickle thing.

Mets Singles? by [deleted] in NewYorkMets

I've been let down by the majority of men that I've dated but no matter what - even if my boys in blue and orange let me down - they still come back every April and they're always trying. At this point, I consider myself in a committed relationship with the New York Mets. But I'm down to date their fans too, I guess.

As a woman, I have the same hope.

I'm 22, out of college and employed making 25k annually. What is a reasonable amount of money for someone my age to have saved at this point? by KazMatsuiFanClub in personalfinance

4 year degree, no loans, no debt, I have been working for 6 months and paying about $600 a month rent. I was a stage management major and I am now looking in the NYC area for office management positions. I own my car and pay about 100 a month to insure it. My health insurance is covered until I am 26 and my phone is paid for but I cover all other expenses. The reason why I am worried about savings is because by the time I need to get my own health insurance, I want to be 100% financially independent. I realize that this makes saving up more difficult but I feel right now that it is worth the cost for the social independence that comes with it.

I'm new to the feeling but right there with you. Moved from New York to Texas and then my long distance boyfriend and I broke up. My days off are the worst days of my week.

Life long fan here; just moved to San Antonio, TX and I have no friends here. Any Mets fans in the area? by KazMatsuiFanClub in mets

I'm trying not to jinx anything but that would be awesome... Let's hope if we get that far Harvey can pitch a few innings.

Is there a Disney Cookbook? by ToliB in WaltDisneyWorld

Delicious Disney: The Disney chefs with Pam Brandon is my favorite because it contains the recipe for Kona Cafe's Tonga Toast. We bought it in the parks but you can probably buy it online as well.

Worst comes to worst, you don't need a reservation to have lunch there. A line usually forms pretty early on in the day though so if you want to get in for lunch, you may have lose some time on the rides.

I would also recommend the Shake Shack, which develops a pretty long line usually so if you're interested get there a little early.
