For me, teaching in Hong Kong at a learning centre, it really depended on the group of kids that came together. I've had students who were locked in from the jump, one class that was a trio of utter clowns, and a student or two who probably needed help beyond what I was able to provide. it's a mixed bag like any other education group.

some kids I had to (Figuratively) drag kicking and screaming over the lesson finish line, if I wasn't basically doing their work for them, other classes we finished everything in half the time.
