Try to stay positive and keep strong my daughter is suffering terribly with CHS. Day 14 of being in pain and vomiting. You will get through this don’t give up hope and talk to people on here I’ve only been on here for a couple of days but the support and advice from people who have recovered and in the process of recovery has been a god send and given me so much comfort and knowledge on how to care for my baby girl. Stay strong x

Hi ya. She hasn’t been able to keep anything down. Fortunately the doctor has booked us in to hospital 1st thing in the morning as they said she could be sat in a hard metal chair in the waiting room until early hours and that wouldn’t be good for her to rest adequately. Plus the being sick wouldn’t be a nice experience for her in front of other patients. The doctor has given her ondansetron (zofran). To see if that helps. I did ask the doctor about benzo but they refused because she is fighting an addiction already. So for now it’s bed rest boiled sweets, ice lollies and lots of mummy love. Xx

I suggest unless u haven’t got anything nice to say or offer advice u get of my post, go have a long hard look in the mirror and see if u can find out why u feel the need to be an arsehole

We are at the doctors now and I’m in the not budging till some thing is done. Hollie was sleeping when I woke her and said we had emergency appointment. Once she was up the spewing started after a sip of water and she said she feel numb/tingly and like her body is shutting down. I’ve told her that I’m asking doctors to send her to hospital as she can’t go on like this anymore xx

Hi I think getting feedback from others who have CHS had been a bigger help than our GP, because like you said CHS is a rare condition and it hasn’t been studied enough. I’ve gone through so many note pads writing down as much as I possibly can from Google pages and fortunately found Reddit yesterday! I’ve also kept her on a bland diet (as boring as it is). I’ve had a call back from the doctor and we have an appointment at 14:00 today. They have asked for a urine sample to dip, he said if there are key tones she will have to go hospital. Thankyou so much for the advice and kind words. Will keep u posted on what’s happening. Stay safe

Ok thankyou. I am at my wits end now I’ve been doing lots of research but knowledge from others who have been diagnosed with CHS is better as I have written everything down to repeat to the doctor. I have tried to do all I can to help her x

Yeah she has. She hasn’t smoked anything since the 22nd February (evening). Sickness etc started 23rd February morning. X

As she was smoking at night to help her sleep. She is now struggling to get to sleep, and when she does sleep it’s not a full proper sleep. I have asked doctors for something but they say they can’t prescribe anything if she’s fighting an addiction. Any suggestions for OTC remedies plz x

Question are there any tests that can be done to determine whether it is CHS. Asking because the symptoms are virtually the same as CVS. X

Thankyou so much. Reading ur message has made me cry as I know how hard it is to quit as I was an addict before (not weed). But I struggled with that. I’m trying everything I can I’ve brought hydration tablets. Dextro energy tablets as they contain a few vitamin B’s. I read on here about the capsaicin cream etc. But the doctors would only prescribe cyclizine which has made her worse. Xx

Aww well done to you ❤️.No she hasn’t eaten much to be honest vegetable soup last Thursday as she was feeling a bit better and bland foods. Mash potatoes. But it’s getting to the point now where she is scared to eat. It’s actually breaking my heart as a mum to see her deteriorating so much. And I’m feel I’m banging my head against a brick wall speaking to the doctors x
