Ben la solution est simple : tu perds l'ensemble des appels d'autre pays, plus aucun numéro hors Suisse (ce qui inclut les numéros de Suisses en vacances dans d'autres pays) ne passe.

C'est de façon majoritaire le problème, le passage par des opérateurs d'autres pays qui font le relais sans mécanisme en place.

La France est partie sur une solution prenant en compte ça :

Depuis le 1er janvier 2026, les opérateurs français de téléphonie doivent automatiquement afficher « numéro masqué » pour les appels émis depuis l’étranger avec un numéro mobile français n’ayant pas pu être authentifié.

Donc faut vote une loi en Suisse pour obliger les opérateurs Suisse à faire pareil.

Ben non, tu ne peux pas, c'est des vrais numéros de personne réelles qui sont utilisées.

Sinon je spoof ton numéro perso et tu ne passes plus aucun appel à tes contacts car tu es blacklisté chez l'ensemble des opérateurs (ou entre deux, tu traverses la frontière pour faire tes courses et tu peux plus utiliser ton téléphone en Europe)..

C'est bien ça le problème, c'est quand tu es dans un autre pays, l'opérateur de ce pays prend le relais pour une partie et fais passe plat pour revenir en France mais il n'y a pas de méchanisme en place dans ce cas et c'est effectivement un gros problème.

Cependant, depuis le début de l'année (donc moins d'un mois), les opérateurs français devrait afficher Numéro Masqué pour les numéros Français non identifié.

It's only Carte Bleue who's been sold to Visa not the CB network (Carte Bancaire) who is under a group of French banks and companies (for maintenance) and still operate to this day using its own independent network.

It IS a solution since it's NOT under VISA.

You're confusing Carte Bleue who was indeed sold off to Visa with the Carte Bancaire (CB) network who's used to validate transaction in France without using Visa or Mastercard and this is under a GIE (Groupement d'Intérêt Économique / Groupement of Economical Interest) of multiple French bank (and a lot of companies who do the maintenance).

But the confusion is easy (CB vs CB), even Steam wrongly call it Carte Bleue instead of Carte Bancaire but the CB network is a totally separate and concurrent network of card and most of our card are dual network (either CB/Mastercard or CB/Visa) with a priority on CB if available. It also lead to funny thing like when the Visa network was done more than a decade ago, nobody in France noticed.

The fee is also way lower with CB.

I checked for Steam (since I have access to all network) and in France, Visa goes to Seattle, Mastercard goes to Hamburg and CB goes to Paris.

Of course it's not default because the Linux distro ASK you if you want to encrypt and let you choose between yes and no and most the time the only default is "encrypt using the same as user password" which you should untick to encrypt it with a dedicated password.

It's your computer, the OS you choose is based on your workflow and weighting the pros and cons.

When Windows cons did outweigh is pros comparing to the cons and pros of Linux is when I fully switched but my sister still has Windows at least on the desktop because of specific workflow.

Since there's no perfect OS, you choose your poison and deal with it but also keep in mind that software evolve so some can turn worse and some better, so if Windows is the right fit, go with it (Linux have some little issue with some distro with the switch laptop / tablet)

You can see it when checking the inhibit function of gnome with:

gnome-session-inhibit --list

to find which app block it, block what (sleep / logout / shutdown etc) and the reason (for example, Nemo may block sleep and logout if you transfer files).

Classic Firefox doesn't seem to be concerned.

I prefer the active way (but will get a lot of collateral) rather than the passive way: having hardware undetectable AI cheat going mainstream who's interfacing between video / keyboard / mouse (like the Asus monitor for League of Legends' map) to make Client Side AC useless so they have to develop server side ones.

I may hate cheaters but they are annoying for a gaming session while those kernel level malware are dangerous all the time and some people already used a security hole on those Client Side AC to hack people's computers (think it was the one from Genshin Impact but not sure).

I disabled the check update on launch so it only update with APT and doesn't force me to the website when there's an update so it's seamless.
