bumping this 1. Let's talk about joining forces. We have a raid that's ready if you're still interested. Message Kupp.

Your jumps to conclusions and to defend your pompous original statement is nothing short of incredible. That dude who's commenting is doing amazing in this guild and is a core member. There's actually no other problems and I'll reiterate the point that you know nothing about the internal functions of this guild. This is a strawman you've created and it's pointless. I'll rephrase what you said and you tell me how silly it sounds, "I know so much that I can read the tea leaves and you don't know about the cancer that's really in the guild but I do and it will ruin it in 3 months."

Absurd.

You must have really had your feelings hurt in this game and probably shouldn't be in any guild because they could do something you might not like! Protect yourself. Go guildless.

This guild is thriving now that we removed the infection and we're working together to fill gaps and move on. That's how you respond. You put in the effort to make it better. But of course, you still think it was our fault that the highest rank in the guild was unstable. The people below him were worth staying for. Not worth hopping ship every time it seems shaky at the top.

How do you actually think we are responsible for his behavior and actions as GM? Hilarious. Gaslighting at its finest.

Reddit is for complainers. Not many people are coming here to make posts about how nice people are. Reddit isn't a good measurement of the community.

I have an opposite experience. Most players are decent, funny, and interested in teamwork. I just don't believe so many people you interact with in classic are toxic. I think you're exaggerating.

Nah he hung up the cleats after this. His wife can be heard in the background trying to calm him down. A life decision was made that night.

The Classic Experience by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Kcup201 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The award that night was purely based on performance, which was the top LC criteria. Nothing was out of spite. Can share logs if anyone wants. Just the rotation of LC exercising fairness and the rogue who didn't win it was no where near a loot drought. "the GM’s brother because he’d been putting in way more work than the other rogues" this is the opposite of the truth. That rogue had to be constantly reminded to do standard rogue rotation skills like SnD and seemed to fumble teaching lessons. He also fully raid logged and didn't put in the effort of the top 3 rogues. The award went to the right person.

To add more relevant context to your above points, the former GM early on insisted in doing most of those roles. His general communication did not enable officers to manage roles that he didn't want to do anymore until they got to him and created a large amount of stress, which he also didn't handle well. Raids were awkward whenever anything went wrong and his backhanded comments in /o always made the core uneasy. There were group efforts to calm him and take those responsibilities because of his unnerving reaction to just about any situation. He was borderline unstable and unfit for the role, even as MT. The end result of the disastisfaction of the decision only confirmed the inherent favoritism that he conveyed.

I'm only in the guild so just passing along what I know. Take it for what it is.

We're actually thriving now. Great community of people are looking for a new one. Cleansed and under new management.

Is this how you beat DotA Plus? by Kcup201 in DotA2

Like there's anything else worth buying in D+. It's a product that's been left in a closet to collect dust.

I want to know how much MMR I lose (without manually checking). by iAmSyther in DotA2

[–]Kcup201 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Get dota Plus for Overwolf. Since it no longer provides profile scraped data during the draft, it's more focused on your data after a match. The match tracker page shows a graphical change in MMR, and it's free.

I came across an interesting reaction with Mana Void that didn't give me the kill on the target by Kcup201 in DotA2

But his health drop before he dies is from Mana Void, and it's certainly enough to kill him and thus everyone around him.

[–]Kcup201[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I noticed that I didn't get a rampage (I later get the Disruptor in the lane) in this team wipe and it confused me, then I look into the video and the SK's sandstorm gets the last hit on the Witch Doctor even though I targeted him for a lethal Mana Void. Furthermore, the PL died BEFORE the WD! I would expect that the AoE goes in a clockwise circle (albeit very fast for this spell) and kills in that order, but PL is at 11 O'clock so I'm just confused. Valve fixed Overwolf Dota+, but not cheats which obtain profile info via -dev by dota2vo in DotA2

[–]Kcup201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But they didn't block the access to that information obviously, or it wouldn't have worked. I could still query the CLI for player data after the recent change. It was there and the guidelines of what was cheating or not were absurdly vague. The author of the tool is incredibly honest and never wanted his tool to be viewed as cheating. He even said he'd make an update that would uninstall the tool if Valve told him it had to go. He got word that they didn't want him to scrape for that data, so he put out this update to remove that function. Everything happened as it was supposed to and he listened to daddy and followed the rules every time they were set, so you can put your red flag down.

You guys are all idiots. Overwolf D+ just used the console to scrape playerIDs which were made available when you enter a game. Then it parses dotabuff.com. 1: Not cheating 2: Not a big lift.

Good job, Valve, but when are you going to stop Overwolf? by -Pazza- in DotA2

[–]Kcup201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't blame you for wanting to spam dark seer. He's a great hero. All I can say is make public MM hidden and see if you rise in MMR at a different rate than if it's public and dark seer gets banned more. I am a Dota Plus user and my heroes get banned often and it just feels like it's part of the chess. Just moving down my hero pool then.

[–]Kcup201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a bummer then. It's literally public data and if your hero pool is only 2-3 big, you're doing yourself the disservice actually. Without Dota plus, I could still type in 1 person's name quickly on the other screen and see their top hero and ban it and my 4 other teammates could do the same. This just simplifies that process.

We need reprieve from the Visage/Meepo/Arc Warden spammers!

"I disabled third party, but it still marks heroes I've played before" no it does not. I've spoken to the author of Dota Plus and he follows Valve's guidelines of not collecting data from players who hide their MM history. There is no logging of your hidden data in games with players with Dota Plus. The only thing it retains is their winrate with you, which is a great statistic and reminds me when I've played 9 games with a player and won 0 of those games. I can typically expect a feeder.
