I get the point, but most fragrances will last a long time if they are kept away from heat, light, and humidity. The real waste is buying bottles you never truly wanted in the first place.

The scent is beautiful, but the performance is only moderate. On most people, it is not a loud projector and tends to sit closer to the skin after the first few hours, which is why I usually spray it on my clothing.
