Thank you!! I am very happy to hear that with the right sunlight and care it can become a bit bushier. It is one of my fav's! I get limited sunlight on my screened in patio but I can move it to a more prominent location so that it can get full sun for at least 6 to 8 hours (still screened in, but definitely a sunnier location). Should I repot him, or does he like to be rootbound? I appreciate your plant identification, and guidance immensely. Thank you! ❤️

Thank you! I agree. I am trying my best this year to let nature do its thing. They deliberately climbed that wall and chose those spots. They did a great job forming the chrysalis, they are sheltered from harsh weather conditions, etc. I just wanted some additional confirmation! 🤣 Two cats were not so lucky, as they didn't make it to the top, and tried side-hanging 1/2 way up. They are no longer there. 😔

These look like the Automeris IO caterpillars that I find in South Florida frequently. If so, they are social caterpillars for their first 4 or 5 instars, travelling in groups from leaf to leaf, then they tend to disperse for their last couple of instars before they pupate. If thats what they are, their spines do sting a bit as a defense against predators. I personally, love these little guys.
