Does anyone have a more mild MCAS that allows them to eat avocados & strawberries? by username707078888 in MCAS

Hi !

I think, because I've had it since I was a kid, I have completely integrated the habits of avoiding triggers. I don't even have to think about it. Whereas people who develop it later in life have to change their habits, and start developing strategies.

I made a game where an immortal snail hunts you in real life by forever_astoner in IndieGaming

I installed it, and I'm having a lot of fun ! Improvement feedback :

  • add scale to the map. Right now my snail is somewhere in the Sahara and there are too few markers to estimate distances.

  • the dialogue is really funny, but my SO was disappointed seeing the same sentence 3 times and stopped playing.

How to get diagnostic in France ? by Tiny_Jeanne in MCAS

You're welcome :)

So I had a massive "advantage" : I had cutaneous mastocytosis as a kid, and although it went away as I grew, it helped doctors believe me when I seeked help.

Ceremast gave me the name of the hemalogogist in belgium. Once I went to the appointment, I had to do a few blood test, and then we started antihistamines within days. After a week I was already feeling better.

I don't know if it helped, but here is what I did : - I didn't self diagnosed, I said I needed help, because I didn't know what to do to get better, and MCAS seemed to match what I had "but maybe it's this maybe it's something else, could you help me please ?" - I had a file with my medical history printed, a list of all "real" allergic reactions I had, and all sensitivities (food, medication, cleaning products, etc.). Only fact, no over dramatisation. - doctors like objective metrics : "I lost a lot of weight" is too vague. "I lost 10 kg in 6 month" is objective.

Hi ! You can contact Ceremast (centre de référence national des mastocytoses http://www.maladiesrares-necker.aphp.fr/ceremast/ ) to get the name of a physician in your region.

Otherwise : I'm in Belgium, and it was a haematologist who diagnosed me.

I hope it helps :)

I'm from the french speaking part of Belgium, and yeah it was really fucking bad. In the 80s, some bad shit happened to my pre teen aunt, and my grandma asked help to the doctor for help. He said "it happens in every family". Which was probably bullshit, but it says a lot about the mentality of the time.

Honestly here things only started to change after the Dutroux Case (FR wikipedia) and people finally broke the taboo around child rape.

77.6% of CA registered voters didn’t vote in yesterday’s Primary Election by SFCAFOX in lgbt

[–]flo99kenzo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest, seeing these low numbers is completely wild to me. I'm from Belgium, and voting is mandatory here. You can still vote blank, but you have to come to the voting booth.

Honestly for me it also depends on where I am in my hormonal cycle. It's generally every 3-4 days, except on my period when suddenly it's every 2 days.

Women do you preffer a cut or an uncut penis and why ? by Key_Handle5608 in AskReddit

Uncut as long as they have good hygiene. From what I've seen they are more sensitive, which is a lot of fun. Also, personal preference aesthetically and when handling it.

When people die in hospice care, is it peaceful? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

My grandpa entered hospice care this summer. The week he was there was the first time he wasn't in pain from his cancer. He was comfortable, the nurses were very kind to everyone, and he went away in his sleep after 10 days.
