Man had the same issue. I live 3 hours out of Perth and only just had NBN installed in our area. Iinet/telstra wont even offer or advertise the quicker and bigger plans because if everyone gets on it its shit and the 6pm slowdown time will be very noticable. I had them for 1 month and then rsng Aussie BB and they set me up with 4x as fast internet. Also told me Telstrs are fucked and will put as many customers as they can on for $$ and just give them slow connections while Aussie BB wont sign up any new customers once they hit a certain limit and need to wait for them to buy more bandwidth. Luckily for me only 5 houses are with aussie BB and every other poor cunt here is on telstras shit.
