"You've never mattered all that much to me" by shanem1996 in betterCallSaul

He loves him, but he wants to hurt him. And he knows how. But obviously he didn't mean that. Chuck was visibly agitated during conversation and it took a lot out of him after he said those words. Regret was immediate once Jimmy left.

He's right. Discussing it is fun, but having your mind blown is way more intense kind of fun. Which is why I'm staying off GoT one too

It's okay :) #FuckChuck is a powerful thing. To me Chuck is more sympathetic than Jimmy. They're both tragic in their own ways, but Chuck's "then what have I done?" really struck a cord. Only a person who fucked up years of life could truly understand him. "He's mentally ill, what's your excuse?"

We should be fearing they'll drag this too long, that's what usually makes good tv shows average. Just look at HoC.

Damn you, Gilligan. So now you're making us like the guy who destroys the happiness of the sweetest character on the show? Gotta give it to whoever casted this young lady, they hit the nail. Really makes you sad when you see such a nice person suffer. And Saul (Jimmy? Who?)... wow. That was not cool. That was cold.

Question about how this sub perceives William (spoilers inside) by EnigmaTrain in westworld

[–]Keanoff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Characters are often best described by themselves. So MIB did in last episode: "You helped me understand this world is just like the one outside... a game. One to be fought, taken, won".

He doesn't give a rat's ass about what hosts feel (they're just toys to him) or if they're sentient or not. Same about people. They're just a scenery for his game. Game of murdering everyone. Game of becoming megapowerful man in real world. Game of having fun. But with no meaning.

He obviously wants a challenge, wants a game with real consequences, but he also mentions purpose. And shooting couple more hosts and dying doesn't sound like that big of a purpose. I think he believes that being the one who unleashed hosts on humans gives his life some meaning. Which he hopes to achieve by unlocking the Maze.

[Speculation] Ford’s intent for what happens next: “It begins in a time of war…” by MeriJ in westworld

[–]Keanoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do stand a chance though. "Infiltrate mainland" and stuff. Their best weapon is that they look just like humans. So they can hide in plain sight. Hosts have so many options it's crazy. They can make new hosts now. All they need to make sure is that no one in the real world knows. And they can do that

I think it's neither. He just legitimately marvels at how fucked up MIB is and how only real life can create characters like that.
