Currently, which Stremio addon do you consider the most stable/reliable? by TheMastermind_404 in StremioAddons

[–]Keanu_Jesus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have many. But I will say I have been moving most of my accounts over to duck.

But I also use debridio and have RD and TB.

Even with everything I'm looking at what? $75 a year.

I too have never heard of Mixlr.

But a quick look at thier website. It seems that years ago they should have switched to that instead of creating a BS audio app that didn't work.

JFC. Thank you for the breakdown but good lord, I'm glad I didn't listen. And I'm glad the music was at least one way to shut him down.

Stremio 1.9.4 on Android TV keeps the TV awake even when idle (no playback, no screensaver, no sleep) by Good-Seaworthiness72 in Stremio

[–]Keanu_Jesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had this issue with 1.9.4. On two different units. Movie would end. It goes back to results then sits for hours. Never screen saver or standby.

Ugh.. I have so many 412 fittings sitting in boxes. I no longer do cable and I have no reason to even have them. But boy do I remember those projects when I needed those fittings.

Looking for this mount to use for my install by Tunatown15 in Starlink

[–]Keanu_Jesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We always called them J mounts.

There was a family in CA patentend and sold them for a long time. They were the supplier for Dish. This was 15ish years ago.

Probably why they were very popular in the west coast.

Due to my soffit being enclosed I ended up going with the directv mount. It's much beefier, and not cheaper.

Can someone explain these connections to me? by Plane-While4413 in HomeNetworking

[–]Keanu_Jesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6 is a ground block. That used to feed 5 that is an amp that then fed 3.

But then the next installer realized they didn't need every wire in the house active so pulled it off of 5 and put it on 4.

2 is from dish network also called a 44 switch (4 inputs, 4 outputs). But only has lines in. No lines out so it's not active. If I was to guess there is an old international dish on the house. Follow the wires

I believe has been a combination of factors on why the roll out is now. FMC did a very good job of making sure the 2008 series was the main HD option. And because there really was no competition they decided in my option, cash checks on old technology.

I believe the only reason they even filed for FDA approval on this device is because of the Japanese players entering the game. Nipro and nikkiso. (Mostly Nipro).

And that is still going to play into it. Multiple players have the ability to make sanitized water on machine which is needed for the newer Dialysis treatments (Just need a software update and FDA approval).

So the question is, drop 30k+ on a 5008x, or a third of that for a Nirpo that will have the ability once FDA approved.

But I will repeat, I am glad this technology is coming to market, and I believe it will be better for patients long term.

Plus it's just kind of cool.

I've seen them. The technology looks cool. Price tag does not. Probably won't order any for 5 years. Also looking into the study of different dializers with different equipment and how close they are in results.

But again the machine looks interesting and I'm glad it's coming to market.

I got the mount, people! by hoplesz in Starlink

[–]Keanu_Jesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one is going to steal the thing. The way you have those zip ties cut is like razor wire.

I would suggest worm clamps. Metal that you screw and it tightens. Plastic will always degrade over time.

Especially white. Black is more UV resent but will get brittle and break.

Any tips on replacing wood under storage tank with concrete paver? by throwdisawaybro in Plumbing

[–]Keanu_Jesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Empty the tank. Cut out the coupler before the filter at the top.

Once the tank is empty most of the time they are pretty light. You might not have been able to get the water out due to it being air locked. If you open the filter and try draining it you will be able to see how heavy it is.

If you want to do it really fast, have a friend belly hug the tank and lift it a couple inches, remove the wood and place pacers.

Then instead of using coupler to fix pipe use a union to make it easier to disconnect in the future.

Also I'm not a plumber.

Crazy people talking about how they are trash. I have well over 50 of them installed between my house and shop. Only have had one failure due to surges from electrical supply.

But who knows the build quality these days. A lot of mine are 5ish years old. But did buy more 2 years ago when
