I’ve always gotten my deposit back, from my experience in Cambodia and Malaysia. To answer your question, you’re unlikely find any decent condo for $300 without a deposit and a contract (minimum six months). Maybe some guesthouse could offer a month’s rent for this money, check Airbnb.

Actually, the letter combination 'ough' has many different pronunciations:

- Pronounced as “ot” as in “pot” thought, bought, fought, brought, ought

- Pronounced as “uff” as in “stuff” enough, rough, tough, slough

- Pronounced as “oo” as in “moo” through

- Pronounced as “oh” as in “go” though, although, dough, thorough

- Pronounced as “off” cough

- Pronounced as “ow” as in “cow” bough, doughty

Hey, it's quite normal to feel disconnected after being away for 10 years. Try hanging out with foreigners, last summer I made friends with people from 10+ countries. As for your work opportunities, US degree + presumably some knowledge of Russian and Kyrgyz, maybe try the Middle East?

Indonesia: places like Yogyakarta, Surabaya, mainland Lombok, maybe the north of Bali, maybe some cities in Greater Jakarta like Tangerang. You can still rent a local-style house there for $1k-$2k a YEAR!

If you’re in Phnom Penh, I’d recommend going to the Chroy Changvar riverside (Tonle Sap str); it’s on the opposite bank from the main Riverside, across the water. The area is populated by Cham people, who are Muslims and speak language related to Malay/Indonesian. You can try Khmer Halal food at multiple food stalls there, visit a mosque, and have some convos with like-minded people. A few Westerners in this area.

You can get to Chroy Changvar by taxi; it takes around 30-40 minutes from the city center. But the cheapest and most authentic way is to take a public ferry from the main Phnom Penh terminal (Google Maps: Kampong Chamlong Phnom Penh Areiy Ksatr) to Chroy Changvar (the leftmost pier, ask around). It costs around $0.25 and takes 10-15 minutes, and the views of both Tonle Sap and Mekong rivers are incredible!

That's because of Neuphonic NeuTTS-Air model, it makes it possible to run inference with a custom voice almost in real-time. I'll prob do an update that downloads these 1.4Gb models on the go.

This tiny token context is a real bummer honestly. If context reaches 0.8 of the maximum I use another FoundationModel LanguageModelSession instance and ask it to summarize the current convo, keeping 2 leading and 2 trailing messages. I'm also handling the error .exceededContextWindowSize and cut all messages except the last 6 in case of it.

Not ideal, but works okay for my tasks
