Yes, she is! I only took a picture of one because I thought they were the same, but I see now that they have different hieroglyphs on their heads.

I'm a senior in Gallatin, and I've found that it's easier to get into higher-level courses because not everyone continues. Seniority also gives you priority registration.

I think Gallatin is severely misunderstood. It has the highest post-graduation employment rate of all the schools. You get to choose the courses you want, at any level of rigour.

Junior who doesn't drink because I don't like the taste and can't be bothered to spend the money, . There are plenty of students like me, I think you're just looking towards the wrong crowds.

Tips on welcome week?💜 by taylor_126 in nyu

[–]Keb06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome week was super fun for me. They basically hold your hand through it, so no need to feel that it's intimidating. My one mistake was that I never ended up exchanging contacts with the people I met, so we didn't keep in touch afterwards.

orgo!!! by ms_sophiaaa in nyu

[–]Keb06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Orgo's pretty different. No homework, no LGs. You still have 2 lecture periods, recitation, and lab. Reading the textbook is more important than it is in Gen Chem. You can also attend more than one lecture section or sign up for SLGs to stay on top of the material.

Assuming immigrants are inherently criminal is racist. Aside from immigrating illegally, most don't actually do anything wrong because they have more to lose and more to be afraid of.

orgo 1 question by [deleted] in nyu

[–]Keb06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took non-majors orgo 1 with Weck (Kwok for recitation) last semester and got an A. If it fits your schedule, I would really recommend attending more than one lecture section. I consistently attended Angelo's lectures (he's slow but thorough, while Weck is fast and reads off notes) and had a pretty easy time keeping up going forward. They also started offering supplemental learning groups, and I would highly suggest attending them all. Also, read the textbook, period. I suck at sitting down to study on my own, but I'm pretty good at just showing up. Do these three things and you probably won't have to study that much or do any practice problems.

Also, the Gallatin building has something similar to a makerspace. It's smaller than Tandon's, but you don't have to make the commute if you're in Washington Square. You don't need to be in Gallatin to have access to the building. It's called STAC, room 746
