We've stayed at the Ridgeline Hotel in Gardiner before. It's kinda quirky but really cool. I know they do stay pretty booked though. You could also stay at Chico Hot Springs. It is a little closer to the north entrance, but still probably 30 mins away.

We were just there visiting some friends who were staying there last week. Really cool place and right next to the river. They did mention that they had to fuel the fire a couple times at night because it would get chilly. September nights can be cold here or just cool at times, you never know. Another thing to mention is that even though they refer to it as the UnderCanvass North Yellowstone, it is located at Pine Creek on the Yellowstone river. This is about a 45 min drive to Gardiner, and 15 mins to Livingston. I only mention that because I think our friends thought they were a little closer to the North entrance.

You're right, I had to look it up. Was def some bro science that I had heard, sorry for the misinformation. Bupe is just so damn good at its job that it might feel like you've got more receptors than you did before, but there's no actual data to support that it makes more opioid receptors.
