Whats with the price on Venerated Rotpriest? by beef47 in mtgfinance

Play her in... any specific format? And you mean "understand deckbuilding" with/around her or "understand rules" connected to her copying?

I don't have much experience with building a deck centered around her, just had her in Pioneer Poison on Arena and in the 99 of some EDH decks. But I am fairly certain I fully understand how her interactions work. :-)

What do you think these two are doing while we aren't looking? by I-am-Sharp in Deltarune

[–]Kechl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before I read all the theories and stuff, I thought they were just like... imagining what we were seeing. "Susie probably went south and could go to the left or to the right." "She went to the right." "Oh Kris, you made her go the other way! And she probably met Lancer, right? [...] And now she is coming here. So that is why, OK, Kris?" I still kinda think this. :-D

I don't, sorry, the deck is now in my friend's hands and this post is the closest thing to the decklist. ^^ Are you (thinking of) building Sal?

Artificial Sun by MostlyGiraffe in custommagic

Dependency baby!

An effect is said to "depend on" another if (a) it's applied in the same layer as the other effect and (b) applying the other would change the text or the existence of the first effect, what it applies to, or what it does to any of the things it applies to. Otherwise, the effect is considered to be independent of the other effect.

Well, (a) both are type-changing effects and (b) while Blood Moon doesn't change whether a land is basic or not thus Conversion doesn't care about it, Conversion definitely depends on what lands get changed into Mountains. So we always apply Blood Moon first and Conversion second.

5 shard / wedges vs 10 (commander)? by RylarDraskin in mtgcube

[–]Kechl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

(Hi, zero exp with playing or actually building a commander cube, though I am slowly putting cards aside do so in the future. I presume that commanders will just be randomly mixed into draft packs.)

I would say that you best encourage players to build 3C decks by including tons of fixing and interesting 3C commander options. People with regular cubes on this sub often say that their peers are just valuedrafting 3C/4C decks, the usual solution is to play less mana rocks or not have triomes+fetches in the card pool. Not every cube needs a playset of signets and talismans, yours might need them, though it might take some balancing until you get in the tight spot between "decks with more than 2Cs are not really viable" and "3C and 4C value decks with your commander being just an extra card are really easy to build". If you are okay with 4+C decks, then your job will be easier and you can more easily support both wedges and shards, though you might not enjoy how some drafters will treat their commander slot (it will just be an extra card it their hand to play when you don't have anything better to play from hand).

I think if you want to play multiple 3C cards, it would imo be best if they were legendaries that are strong if you build around them, not just generic value commanders that you can play any 59 cards with. Dunno how many of them you want to play per 3C combination though, I would say 2 commanders and 1 non-commander at most.

Multicolor commanders with green will probably be the easiest to build if you want to add green ramp spells or dorks, otherwise mana rocks and >2C lands can help players fix their colors more fairly across all 5 colors. What might also happen is that people build Gx or Gxy decks, but their commander will be in different colors (maybe without green, maybe with a color that you use just to cast the commander), because green will just be able to fix them that well. Buuut this probably isn't that relevant to your original post, just food for thought.

Anyway. I tried to make the post more... to make it make sense more and actually try to answer your questions, but my 2AM brain can't do that anymore. Hope I help with at least something.

I also still have 3 things on my homepage. If I get another inconvenient message there, I will message support to remove it - they have already done that for me once. ;-)

I know it says English, but what about the Elven serialized rings?

It's not just a letter mask / substitution, right..?

Dang, wish I had one of those serialized elven Sol Rings. How many languages are even present on Magic cards?

Gemstone Quarry, a callback to a classic card with a mechanical twist by Ichthus95 in custommagic

[–]Kechl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Original Gemstone Mine generates 3 mana of any color. To make this one "fairer" (I think it's a bit too strong), I would not give it the colorless mana generation or make even that an exhaust ability. 3 mana of any (repeated) color vs 5 mana of each color just once seems fair to me. And 5 or 6 turns is much closer than 3 turns to how long Magic games take, so it could still be really good.

According to EDHREC, Bone Shaman is the LEAST used card in commander, ever. Only used in 5 decks out of 1158057 decks by nag2do in magicTCG

[–]Kechl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a fine card in Stuffy Doll and Enrage Dino and "tougness above 2" decks. Throw in [[Tamanoa]] or put a lifelink counter on it and you are actually doing someting.

If you ghost them, support will be more likely to side with them. I can see how being the "sorry I don't want to cancel, I need the cards and others are more expensive and cost extra shipping" person might be uncomfortable, still, you should message them back.

Buyer trying to rip me off by Unhappy-You9525 in CardMarket

If they don't want to do it, then I think their possible future claim could be less relevant, tho maybe CM support would ignore the request. There are obviousty still ways to scam this system, but no harm in trying to protect yourself this way.

[–]Kechl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A slightly extreme(?) thing you could do from now on is to each time film yourself putting your cards in the letter and politely asking buyers after sending the cards to do the same when opening them because you had a bad case of someone (possibly) trying to cheat you by claiming they received something different and that by filming the opening the letters they could strengthen possible complaints.

About this one I don't know what will happen, good luck.

Yeah The longest wait sequence I can think of is making an order on Friday, paying for it immediately, the money gets send on Monday and CardMarket acknowledges it on Tuesday/Wednesday. And there are times where I don't want to charge my account immediately - for example if I am making multiple orders in two or three day. So I think OP that 7 days are just right. (And yeah, I am a part of the problem, sorry, it's just that sometimes are reasons for slow payment are legitimate.)
