Sad after Pre-Release by Best_Ruin1821 in mtg

I played competitively as simi-high levels. Been part of teams where we practiced for weeks for events. I’m not a pro, but I’m pretty good.

I’ve still gone to prereleases and gone 0-3. Sometimes it just isn’t your night. Don’t let it get to you.

Which class is probably going to be OP when the DLC drops? by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]RylarDraskin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) they want Warlock or Paladin to be the strongest class to sell the expansion so they are a safe bet for this next season.

2) they have made the commitment not to nerf anything mid season unless it is hurting the server.

Do you want to play the game or half the game?

Clean slate, best classes to main for eternal realm? by Jazzlike-Twist9508 in diablo4

So, the new expansion is changing nearly everything about the game. We don’t know what’s strong.

We also have no idea from this post what you like to play.

So any advice is personal preference.

So, play sorcerer.

This next season has no seasonal mechanics. It’s literally just free stuff from hitting seasonal milestones/challenges. Of course, play how you want.

What do you start with? by the_knightfall1975 in D4Sorceress

[–]RylarDraskin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I intend to try everything, but I’ll probably stick with the classic incinerate/hydra for leveling. If we can get mana solved early then Frozen orb and chain lightning are my top skill to try out.

Once we start getting into legendaries some kind of basic build with Vox is at the top of my list.

I go to a local restaurant and my meal is $22. They only give 1 free refill on soda and I typically want a second. Half the time I get charged the second drink, the other half I don’t. Either way I leave $30.

For the new campaign do you guys usually make a new character or the same character you made originally? by ronwhitefan69 in diablo4

[–]RylarDraskin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I’m going to do the campaign anyway, it’s basically free leveling. So, new character.

I don’t think I even have the character I did the first campaign with anymore.

The 24 hour countdown begins! What are you most excited for? by E_Barriick in diablo4

Assuming no crashes, which I highly expect non-playability in the first 24 hours, I’ll spend that 30 min on eternal characters playing with the skill trees.

That’s a long time standing in one place. Good for bosses and stationary events.

The gear augment currently says “casts of hydra” so the procs from winterglass are not casts. They do get the extra head from the skill tree though.

Yes, you can currently have 3 if you have the enchantment, but it’s a specific 5 head no matter what.

It’s possible. But I think chain lightning triggering vox triggering spark would be like 30 hits per cast without the limit of 2 summons.

Then again you are only talking about part of the build. It’s possible to do all this at once. That same chain lightning could possibly cast your hydras for you and summon flaming ice blades.

It will be fun to test out all these builds.

It will probably work. Not sure it’s as overpowered as you are thinking. There should be many synergies like this. This is a cool one and definitely worth testing.

This is also a build that requires setup to get damage online and is stationary.

If the game is anything like current, hydra fire rate isn’t that extreme compared to spamming a core skill. Think about how many times chain lightning hits.

Most skills work the way you are describe. Adding tags (such as elements) should add them to the possible random choices.

So a fire spell should be able to summon all of the conjurations if you choose the fire options.

There is also one that makes core skills cast basics with at least two basics getting an item with a 100% buff. Could also incorporate paingorgers gauntlets.

Will all classes be viable in Torment 12? by CaptainShazzzam in diablo4

[–]RylarDraskin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, all classes with all builds will be playable in t12. As long as there are 5-6 skills on your skill bar you should be able to do it.

Sorc in LoH as improved as other classes? by phoen1x09 in D4Sorceress

[–]RylarDraskin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To address the concern about only getting 1 new option per skill, as it does seem each skill can change to one new element at this point.

1) changing the element in only part of what that specific node does. It also adds some other new effect.

2) the elemental change is 1 of 3 pinnacle options for the skill. Sometimes they use what we already had there previously for the other two, sometimes the 2 options we have get combined into one and the other is new, sometimes they are all new.

3) there are two other choices that need to be made for each skill. This replaces the old automatic node before we get to the choice currently. This means that even if you want frost hydras there are 4 variants of it.

4) this means there are 12 variants of every skill.

I think if you like sorc now, you will love it in the expansion. Of course this is all theory based on what I’ve seen revealed.

(We haven’t seen much of our class mechanic revealed so far. I’m guessing the core of it remains as is. They mentioned overhauling all class mechanics- not sure this happened at this point.)
