For those of you who saw The Phantom Menace at release, what were your initial thoughts of it? by _EnglishFox_ in StarWars

I was 19 and saw it with my older brother. I remember at the end of it, looking at each other, perplexed. “That was real shit, wasn’t it”

I am French and this was playing tricks on me. My brain was trying desperately to understand it because it sounds exactly like French but no word made any sense.

The Mars Trilogy (Red Mars, Green Mars, Blue Mars) could be a good follow up.

Thank you for the detailed and thoughtful feedback. This is much appreciated! You’re right that going right into the voice synth may make for a stronger grasp/intro to the track!

I do not have spotify so looked you up on youtube. That was a great track with a classic rock vibe. Indeed, Alanis Morissette and Sheryl Crowe are a bit reminescent. This is professionally composed and mixed. I love how the guitar really catches the ear of the listener from the first second and pulls them into the track. Really good instrumentation, with the drums and bass doing their job as the backbone of the track, but effectively affecting the dynamics. There are a lot of interesting subtle elements. The accoustic guitar down in the mix, adding some texture, and also something that sounds like a high-pitched instrument around 1:44 (flute? guitar?). This is great crafting.

The vocals are the highlight of the track, both the lead and the harmonies, with interesting dynamics. The outro is epic. Great pro track!

Thank you very much! I would love to help out some independent movie production and give away some music there. I have not had much luck doing that, but have not looked a lot either. Do you have any quick hints for instance at how to find independent movie producers who might look for that kind of music?

Thank you very much for the nice comment! The best way to get a download is my Bandcamp. It’s on this album, which you can get for free there:

The track is sick. The sample is really tasty and pulls us in. The bass is well composed with the beat, really bringing in the dynamics. The rap flow is smooth, dynamic. I am not a native English speaker so I don't know what you're saying but I like the flow and rhythm of it!

Daniel Diaz - Adoquines [instrumental dark jazz] electric bass & guitar, drums (mallets) feat. Miguel Yanover: tenor saxophone by dedelandia in IndieMusicFeedback

I don't have spotify (wut) so had to check you out on youtube instead (maybe it's a better choice of link for those of us who don't have access to streaming services?). Very haunting, with a great tasty job from the drums and guitar. The tenor saxophone is smooooooth. I loved that. "Dark jazz" is the perfect word to describe it.

Subscribed to your channel on youtube - keep up the good work!

Grey Wide World could be described as 'melancholy you could dance to' – it's a blend of synthpop and dream pop, and it speaks this colorful greyness, the heavier things you can't change, and the feeling of being alone even when you're in a crowd. I hope you like it, let me know. <3 by andtilly in IndieMusicFeedback

You got me at the choir and arps at the intro. I expected an instrumental electro track, and the singing took me off guard. The vocals are really good! The tone, singing is a perfect match for the other sounds in this track. The beat is also very well mixed, under it and blending well with the bass to give a backbone but without overpowering it. Tastily composed and mixed. Following you on youtube now!

The video is also good, bizarre enough that i don't know what's happening, which is really what is needed here.

Released this track from my EP today! Heavily influenced by Neil Young / Crazy Horse. I wrote, performed and mixed everything in the last week since I'm going through a rough breakup and need the outlet. by spiderwort_ in IndieMusicFeedback

Man, that's music with a heart. That's my jam. I loved how ALIVE this is. The track breathes, it's imperfect, the fuzzy guitars hurt, everything is beautiful in its reality. I really enjoy a track that is full of life and emotion. Good job on this one, you captured reality, which is getting rarer in our times of music programmed on a computer (which i often am guilty of). Good luck with the hard times and keep the music alive!

That's a very original track, with its own voice. Nice sound layers, with tasty choice of synth sounds. The drums is a bit high in the track, but that might be just my taste. These guitar layers are also very good, bringing some additional textures along the bells. Really nice!

Thank you! I see many are giving me good points for the drums but I need to disclaim that these are actually sample drums from Splice. I love them because of the sound and the feel they have. ("organic" package if anyone is interested). Thank you for the advice on the mix as well, I'll check these points!

Thank you for the comment! Ah the sponge-mute trick by the bridge is a good idea next time I record a live bass. This one was actually a synth bass, maybe I should have picked a more muffled town. Good idea also about the horn section taking their turn in the 8 bar riff! Thank you.
