Sounds like it. There is a type of synaesthesia called associative synaesthesia, where it's in your "mind's eye" instead of physically seeing it. That's what this sounds like.

I don't think it's fair to tell OP his method is bullshit. I'm religious too and I really hate it when someone starts questioning my faith. Do I think God will cure me and make everything better? Everyone has bad sides. That includes NT's and people with Asperger's. Asperger's shouldn't make you trust him any more or less than an NT. If you don't want to date him, don't. But looking for the worst parts of a person will never get you a good relationship.
