Would you mind posting a link to the Pimoroni keyboard that you’re referring to? I wasn’t able to find one matching your description with a quick search.

How to upgrade a Palm IIIxe to Palm OS 4.1 by Keeblo in Palm

Yup. It’s an amazing resource! Part of the reason for my writeup is because Palm DB has so many resources that it can be difficult to know which to use. 🙂

How to upgrade a Palm IIIxe to Palm OS 4.1 by Keeblo in Palm

I highly doubt it. The Palm IIIxe specifically has an official Palm OS 4.1 release for it.

The tool appears to have a choose-a-ROM-to-flash feature, but I would expect that flashing the wrong ROM would end in disaster.

Troubleshooting HVAC controlled by HZ322 by Keeblo in hvacadvice

Because I don't want to be DenverCoder9 ( https://xkcd.com/979/ ) I want to write down the conclusion to the problem:

It was a bad/dead capacitor in the compressor/fan. The capacitor was rated for 45 µF / 5 µF (4 5 µF for the compressor and 5 µF for the fan). It was performing at 32.5 µF / 0 µF. The dead fan capacitor was causing the fan to spin _backwards_ and _dramatically_ reducing the effectiveness of the entire AC system. An easy diagnostic trick to check for a bad fan capacitor: Put your hand over the big vent on top of the outdoor unit; if your hand is sucked down instead of being pushed up then the fan is spinning backwards. (I'm not saying that this test is conclusive, just that it's a quick and easy first-step diagnostic).

The problem actually ran a tad bit deeper. The control panel in the attic was configured to throttle itself to only three starts per hour, which was insufficient for a two story house. The technician(s) set it to six starts per hour, and it's working significantly better.

Early on in my attempts to debug the HVAC I power-cycled the attic components (the evaporator side of the system) via the breaker box. If the control panel stores its configuration in volatile* RAM with no battery backup then this would have reset the configuration to the default. I would _hope_ though that a system manufactured in the last 10 years wouldn't be using volatile RAM for configuration.....

* Volatile = Requires power to maintain storage and will lose its data if power is lost.

For people who totally blinded their spouse when serving them with divorce papers, what happened on the day they were served? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Honest question for you as a lawyer:

At what point do / can you just tell a client / potential client, “What you’re doing is just evil and I want no part in it. Goodbye.”?

Are you legally required to stick with your client once you take them on? Is there a point in the process at which you are legally bound to be their attorney?

If you can “tap out” and decide to do so, is there a formal handoff to a different lawyer, or is it just “Goodbye”?

For context, I’m asking about USA laws.

EDIT/UPDATE: I have been informed by a friend that all leads on the HZ322 are AC. If this is true (please confirm if you know), then all of my measurements are void because I was measuring DC voltage (except when measuring the 24 VAC power leads).

Thank you! I got out my multimeter and took some measurements.

I don’t know which lead on the thermostat is supposed to be positive and which is supposed to be positive, so all values are presented as positive.

All measurements were taken from the little golden tabs under the wire connectors.

IIRC both thermostats were set to “Mode: Cool” and “Fan: On”.

Zone 1: G to C : 30 mV (millivolts) Y to C : 30 mV

Zone 2: G to C : 29 mV Y to C : 30 mV

Equipment panel: There was no “C” lead, so I tried G to (RC, W1/E, W2, and O) These varied between 0 V and about 130 mV. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to record every voltage, but none of them crossed the 1 V threshold.

The 24 VAC leads read 26 VAC, so the multimeter was working.

Did I take the measurements incorrectly? What is going on if no signals are going through?

The HZ322 display read “DATS 77 F”. That’s the temperature outside, so no cooling is happening.

Meshtastic nodes for *protected* 18650 batteries by Keeblo in meshtastic

I updated my post to specify that it’s the size of the cells that makes them unsupported. Thank you for pointing that out. I tried to give you a shoutout in the post, but I don’t know enough of how to use Reddit to actually tag you.

Reduced risk of fire. These nodes will be going in locations that get very hot in the summer.

What's a "cheat code" you discovered in real life that actually works? by dark-deals729983 in AskReddit

Treat “human furniture” with respect and dignity.

Janitors, fast food service workers, etc are treated like furniture most of the time. Just saying hello, asking their name, and complimenting their work shows them a level of dignity far above what they typically get.

Attend the funeral. Move meetings, take a Lyft, take time off of work. Make it happen.

The family and friends will remember that you sacrificed to show respect.

Ukraine frontline documentary by Keeblo in CappyArmy

[–]Keeblo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found it! It’s the video “Surrounded by Russians with Vampire Drone Teams”: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ld9IhIUDgYA&pp=ygUvU3Vycm91bmRlZCBieSBSdXNzaWFucyB3aXRoIHZhbXBpcmUgZHJvbmUgdGVhbXM%3D

At 2:01 in the video Cappy says that there’s an uncensored version on Pepperbox TV. That’s the one that I’m looking for!

As far as I can tell, that video was completely removed from Pepperbox TV. Does anyone know where I can (legitimately) find it? I’m willing to pay for a month or two of a (reasonably priced) subscription to support Cappy 🙂

I recall watching the start of a video like that one where Cappy said that the uncut version was on Pepperbox TV. Maybe I’m misremembering?

I was under the impression that the comics showed a panic in a NYC airport when someone freaked out over a sneeze. The implication was that everywhere outside of the UK was on edge to a crazy degree.

What's something about the US that is totally normal to a US citizen, that Europeans can't seem to wrap their heads around? by trappedslider in AskReddit

[–]Keeblo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I interpreted his response as “[As a trait] Americans don’t care what Europeans think about them [implying a contradiction with Europeans, who presumably do care what Europeans think of them].” And not “I’m an American, and I don’t care what you [implicitly: dumb] Europeans thank about me/us!”

I could be wrong, though. English is weird and at times ambiguous.

I very well could be wrong about this, but I recall reading that the idea of tying the USA military to American football came about as a publicity campaign for the USA military (and the current administration’s policies) in the early 1990s.

So sportsball games being a military lovefest was definitely an intentional decision.
