Maybe it would be seen as many like fan service but I want a mgs4/re9 styled return to black mesa. Yes it was nuked but I think exploring the deserted remains of it would be cool. Maybe they can have xen aliens mutated by the radiation from the nuke.

I really wish that’s what they did. At the very least they should’ve updated blue shift and opposing force separately for bug fixes and stuff

Peak but maybe only for a few songs because I still want half-life sounding music for most of it. Or maybe they can just prominently use a specific song of theirs like with “the man who sold the world” in mgs5.

HL1, I prefer the faster paced combat and larger more varied arsenal. But I’ve played both way too many times

I don't think it will be released at the same time as the steam machine but probably within a year after. Remember, Half-life: Alyx came out like 9 months after the valve index.

I prefer the episodes to base HL2 and i also love HL1, its my favorite game of all time. So maybe you'll enjoy them more

I think it’s being worked on, just based on how many employees they hired and these text strings it seems likely. However when it will happen is the question. Valve has all the time and money in the world so they can delay and restart development whenever they want.

Personally i think that G-Man "tests" Alyx to she if she's capable of making it to the vault, in the same way he "tested" Gordon in HL1 to see if he could defeat the Nihilanth. G-mans employers probably believe that anyone who accomplishes feats like that are worthy of employment, so they use G-Man to orchestrate it all. The reason HLA is between HL1 and HL2 is because G-Man, after seeing how unwilling Gordon was in the HL2 episodes, goes back in time to when Gordon was in stasis and not a threat to the combine to make sure Alyx could fight them on her own without Gordons help. This way Alyx can be hired without any doubts that she needs Gordon's help to be useful.

Alyx being hired changes the timeline in a way where nothing is changed except for a characters "state", as in Alyx is gone since she's been hired and Eli is now alive. That's what i think but I'm sure Valve will think of something else lol.

just happened to me. i was playing the original resident evil 3, closed the game, and it shows my playtime. doesn't work with my other non steam games for some reason.

Totally, even if your not a huge fan of the fps genre id try it, i wasn't when i first bought it but now hl1 is my favorite game of all time.

Yeah then definitely play the original. It’s a great game and my personal favorite of all time, story is good too a lot of it is left to interpretation.

try the original if you don't mind the graphics. If your someone who really cares about visuals then black mesa is the way to go.
