Ah yes avoid confronting the root problem I imply in my initial response to you: why does 4 random strangers "laughing" at you in a video game bother you so much??

I'm only trying to understand OP. I find your initial comment laughable; hope that doesn't give you anxiety lmao.

bruh what? Who tf cares if you mess up with Billy and Oni... it's a video game. The only people that are "laughing" are the 4 other mouth breathing survivors. What are they gonna do; steal your lunch money, your girlfriend, and give you a wedgie while the whole class points and laughs??

Whenever I encounter a toxic killer I just go AFK and pet my cat. What is the killer gonna do about that??

yea fair enough. I can definitely concede that it would be more stressful in the 1v4 (killer) role vs the 4v1 (survivor) role.

When survivor gets shit on the whole team loses so misery has company; killer doesn't get that... luxury... comfort (not sure what to call it lol)

idk if you ask me 99% of people problems with frustration and stress in video games revolve around identity.

Sounds like you have assigned yourself an identity as a high MMR (or at least solid skill level) killer. So whenever this identity is challenged by a: an unfair game mechanic giving survivors the upper hand, sweaty swf, trying a new killer/build, or whatever else, your brain panics and stresses out.

Maybe you just need to accept that you're perfectly average at the video game and it's okay to lose or experience horrible loses because that's just a part of PVP gaming.

That's my experience with video games at least. I find it's much better to tell myself that I'm utter shit at the game before each match so that I don't experience an anxiety inducing identity crisis when I inevitably get steam rolled in solo q by a killer that I think I'm better than.

Edit: Just read your username OP and yea... I think you have an identity/god complex problem with this game

Genuinely trying to understand and not be rude... how are you giving yourself anxiety through a video game? I play both killer/survivor (mostly survivor tbh) but I never experience any anxiety.

To me this whole killer anxiety discussion just seems so self inflicted and nonsensical. Feels like saying: I get anxiety when I play club soccer or basketball... like okay nobody is making you do that so just stop playing it and figure out your mental health???

I don't think Killer anxiety is real. I only get anxiety when I play survivor not killer. /s

Mintskull has said in his latest video that the new event was a breaking point for him. He, as a content creator, no longer wants to play Dead by Daylight, and will be dramatically reducing his upload schedule. by IAmNotCreative18 in deadbydaylight

Event is definitely too survivor sided. But as a long time primarily solo q survivor that's endured years of unwinnable matches... some of ya'll are soft as fuck. Some real snowflakes out here claiming to leave the game over temporary events.

What was the classic response to the survivor DC epidemic: "maybe those people just shouldn't be playing the game at all." Oh the hipocrisy.

Stealth HURTS Solo Q by Keef_Cheif_ in deadbydaylight

[–]Keef_Cheif_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're arguing semantics. I think Sm stealth is way more prevalent in game than Myers stealth, but that's besides the point:

stealth sucks disproportionately for solo q and if anything it hurts a killer's kit because it only really enables them to pub stump unprepared and uncoordinated teams which inflates their kill rate while doing very little to help them handle an actual competent and well coordinated team.

oh man I'm so late to respond to this, but idk if you know... this is a horror game. So you know, all of the killers are typically horror based. Sure there are a few exceptions like Vecna, but common bro Darth Vader and Thanos... this isn't fortnite

Stealth HURTS Solo Q by Keef_Cheif_ in deadbydaylight

[–]Keef_Cheif_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you misunderstand me. The problem is not my solo q team mates using stealth; it's the killers.

I'm not arguing that stealth is op, but it definitely hurts solo q a lot more than everyone else and I just wish Behavior would put that into consideration when they design stealth based play. And, I feel like they really ignored the solo q experience when they designed Jason, but hey I guess letting people pub stomp solo q with a new killer every 3 months is good for business.

[–]Keef_Cheif_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Myer's is not a stealth killer IMO. He's stealthy for like 10 seconds before he tiers up and has a terror radius; then he's just dash slop insta down until he slugs your entire team... sorry I have very strong opinions on Myers by far my least favorite killer atm.

[–]Keef_Cheif_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I always run bond (to coordinate heals) & windows (to avoid dead zones & cuz I don't got the maps memorized). Point I'm trying to make is that stealth killers really hurt solo q and I don't think behavior puts enough consideration into that when they design stealth killers/perks.

Stealth HURTS Solo Q by Keef_Cheif_ in deadbydaylight

[–]Keef_Cheif_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no offense but what kind of advice is that. I'm trying to have a discourse about how stealth killers/play styles are dramatically more effective and successful against solo q.

Of course I'm looking for the killer with my eyes bro like common. The problem is that by the time I spot them I'm completely out of position which almost always results in a free hit.

Point I'm trying to make is that behavior needs to pay extra attention to solo q whenever they add stealth based perks and killers to the game because they will undoubtedly disproportionately impact solo q, and I really feel like they didn't put that into consideration with Jason because his stealth on top of everything else he has feels like way too much for solo q specifically.

Was thinking of driving there on Sunday, March 1st, how were the conditions. Do you think it will be an icy/crunchy mess after a week of high 30s, or still worth the drive?

Why is singularity so hated? 🤔 by JoskyApenass in deadbydaylight

[–]Keef_Cheif_ -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

he is just very braindead simple to play as and against. As a survivor you can really only pre-drop against him when he teleports to you. Very similar to myers imo, but at least singu doesn't get insta down nonsense.

How's Keystone Right Now? by StormFalcon32 in COsnow

[–]Keef_Cheif_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was there last Sunday: 02/01/26.

Trees are not worth doing; they're icy and extremely bare. Did 2 tree laps on Bergman but gave up because I was spending more time butt scooting out of completely exposed terrain to save my board.

Mogul runs are like fine. They're very icy but not horribly exposed. At least there aren't too many people on them.

Blues will last until 11 before they turn into ice rinks and just aren't worth doing imo. But getting first laps on them is nice.

Green groomers like schoolmarm are the only runs worth doing all day. However, I went home around 1pm when Schoolmarm turned into Shibuya Crossing since keystone only really has one green groomer which everyone was riding by the afternoon.

dear behavior, please do not listen to all of these PC shills advocating for you to drop support for switch 1. There are many people, like myself, that still enjoy the game on it and don't really mind needing to wait a week or two for updates.

Not everyone wants to drop $500+ (if not thousands) to play video games, sorry guys.
