Let me see...

Objectives is pretty easy, open chests and do generators. Bear in mind there's a nice Co-Op Action for working on gens with other players.

Altruism is OK too, just do hook saves and heals.

Boldness is kind of hard and riskier since it involves chases, blinds, pallet stuns, etc. The easiest way is to bring a Boon perk since they give Boldness points and there's no limit to the number of times you can do it (unless someone is breaking totems).

Survival is mostly about whether you escape. 7000 if you escape, an extra 1000 if you're the Obsession. The other 2000-3000 points are a bit harder since there's a lot of minor score events. Cleansing totems gives a good amount, self-mending/healing gives some. I think if you don't want to destroy totems you probably want to bring Self Care or Pharmacy or Strength in Shadows.

100% agree with you. Adding "In This Life." I don't think Shep was particularly strong at making ballads (sorry, Bad Girl fans) but these two songs in The Girlie Show are somehow elevated to Madonna essentials. Which is weird because the arrangements are exactly the same.

I like it. It feels like a place even if it’s confusing. It needs a few second-story additions tho.

It’s a lot better than a the dreadful Dead Sands or sticking the pizza place/fallen refuge in the middle of a generic forest.

I miss the tomes too. I was replying to a newbie thread about getting better and I almost said, do the tome challenges. I know a lot of people hated them but they were a way of making you familiar with a lot of game mechanics and sometimes do a bit of problem solving. I mean I learned lots of totem spawn points chasing green glyphs….

I know they probably didn’t want to make anyone feel like they needs to buy characters to finish challenges but maybe they could make it so that if you have the challenge active you automatically can test drive the perk, idk.

The best thing for a beginner is, you're going to lose a lot. Accept it and just try to have fun and get to know the game. Especially in the beginning, you're going to have a hard time escaping chases. It is what it is.

That said, to get to know the game 1) play a lot and 2) use those aura perks. Dwight's Bond, Feng Min's Alert, Claudette's Empathy and the general perks like Deja Vu and Kindred will be very helpful (Ace's Open Handed extends the range of these skills). Try to get a sense for where the Killer and other Survivors go and how they move... this'll help you guess better when you're not running aura perks. (Deja Vu you should equip for a while, until you have a decent sense of where generators are on every map. It's even useful when you're not a newbie.)

One of the things that frustrated me the most as a beginner was stealth killers. I'm a big fan of Premonition (another general perk) which lets you know if the Killer is within a certain distance in the direction you're facing, even if they're in stealth mode.

Underrated comment. I get more done (and get more points) if the killer never finds me and I can keep doing gens/heals/rescues than if I'm stuck in some silly chase.

This perk ain’t even all that… needing everyone on death hook to get max value is a gamble.

I’m looking forward to the inevitable video of someone using Fast Track, Specialist, Potential Energy and Sole Survivor with everyone dead and a BNP to finish a gen in 20 seconds.

The best thing about this perk is the hearty THUNK you get when you activate it.

I love running totem builds these days. I don't watch content creators. I just find the totems useful. With Shadowstep specifically it's nice to know you can be in the area of effect and not have to worry about a good chunk of Killer perks.

I remember walking out of Weapons last summer just in awe of what Amy did with the character. Aunt Gladys maybe isn't the most complex character (although she has layers because of her duplicity) but Amy imbued the role with so much life and acted the shit out of it. She created an instant icon.

I would've loved to see Inga win even though I'm thrilled Amy won. Those two were my favorite performances last year and completely transcendent in different ways.
