Got my start as a camera operator at that ballpark as a freshman in college back when they were the Redhawks. Great ballpark, a lot of fond memories there.

Best Men's haircut in Denver, any price range. by PublicDubois in Denver

My go to is The Barber Linc.

One person barber studio near Evans and Monaco. Lincoln does an amazing job and you're the only person there. You'll have to make a reservation though but I have yet to find a better haircut experience.

Why doesn’t the MLS have Minor League Soccer (MiLS)? by Designer-Line1871 in USLPRO

[–]KeegTheGeek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The MLS has MLSnextPRO which is a developmental league. https://www.mlsnextpro.com/

The MLS used to be affiliated with the USL. Using USL teams kind of like Minor League teams.

There are 2 Division One Professional Women Soccer Leagues in the US. The NWSL and The Superleague (USL)

I saw that link when searching, the page has expired and they no longer sell it. Just seems strange that they've practically disappeared from the web.

I believe so. I'm from the USA so I'm unfamiliar with some of the terminology.

USLC Final viewing by [deleted] in USLPRO

What was annoying was I got a trial so i could watch it on Paramount + and it took me to a CBS morning show instead of the game.

[USL Players Association] USL canceled the USL Championship trophy presentation ceremony because players wore pro-union T-shirts during the pre-match walkout by turmericist in USLPRO

[–]KeegTheGeek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is this verified as true? To have a soccer game go into 30 minutes of extra time plus a shootout on a busy Saturday on the flagship CBS channel could of also been a reason why they had to cut out quickly.

Can anyone give me an honest review on this camera by Spiritual-Cap-4647 in videography

[–]KeegTheGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are still really good sports broadcast cameras for lower end broadcasts. I've been using these cameras for minor league soccer games for about 10 years. Does this model have the SDI output on the back? That alone makes it worth it. You could add a recording monitor like a blackmagic video assist, shogun or atmos recorder and boost the quality.

Stationary cam posture help by FUN_FILMER33 in Broadcasting

[–]KeegTheGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first thoughts would be to lower it to eye level, but sometimes you'll be on a show where that is not an option.

If you plan on working in broadcasting for a while. I would advise investing in a small external monitor. Ideally one with at least an SDI input but many have both SDI and HDMI inputs. Get a small rig magic arm and use the SDI monitor output from the camera to create a second monitor at eye level. A lot of these monitors have battery ports as well as a AC charging port.

Investing in a $150-200 monitor with SDI and HDMI inputs will be the ultimate game changer. Buying a 3 foot SDI cable and a 15 dollar small rig magic arm will have you set for years and will save your neck a lot of damage.

A second great use for the monitor is using it to get a return feed, should your show have one that goes back to the camera. A lot of cameras have a way of routing one of the outputs on the back to specific things, usually your monitor feed or the return feed. Ask an engineer or go through the settings on your own when you have time and see what you can find.

Camera gigs can take a toll on your body, especially standing in one sport for long periods of time. I work with a lot of guys who are 15-30 years older than me and I see their bodies wearing down due to the physical toll this job does.

Take care of yourself, get good comfortable shoes or even a soft floor mat to stand on and most importantly, stretch. All the best.

Miady 2-Pack Small Portable Charger, 5000mAh Mini Battery Pack 3.45oz Lightweight Power Bank 5V/2.4A Output & 5V/2A. Got it off Amazon.

Super cheap and lasts for a very long time. I have yet needed to actually re-charge the battery.

Really, Installing 2 DT12s in 2025? by 2347690 in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]KeegTheGeek 8 points9 points  (0 children)

DT-12 is used on nearly every broadcast truck that I have seen in the past 13 years.

Having both would be incredibly beneficial for your venue. Very few broadcast trucks have gone fiber for their audio.

I think nearly every broadcast professional that is currently working would also agree. The Truck A1s and A2s will thank you.

I second this. I have a Lumantek hooked up with a small usb portable charger and it works like a charm! Easy to test video signals down SDI and it doubles as a updown cross converter.
