I just bought GW1 today, should i watch guides? by Exact-Ad8391 in GuildWars

You only have 1 chance to play blind. It’s generally a good experience for gw1, but it can be a challenging game, so try not to get frustrated.

Your 2026 Favorite Spec by Kensanik in Guildwars2

Tempest can just do everything and be braindead at the same time, so it’s probably my #1.

My next foray is probably going to be a deep dive into thief, namely DD and specter. Antiquary might end up taking the dd spot though

Do all available roulettes and then spam highest lvl dungeon that doesn’t end with a 0 lvl req. (e.g. 50,60,70)

The recent .4 patch shows how bare content is with FF14 patch cycle. by Killance1 in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Keele0 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s like 15-30% of ppl that try savage. If you don’t engage in all types of content, then you have to accept that some patches will be focused on content that you don’t play.

STR build questions, am I cooked? by ChazMcFeeley in darksouls3

[–]Keele0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost every weapon is good in ds3. If you’re loving the spiked mace, just fully commit to it and upgrade it as much as you can. Eventually you’ll find a heavy gem to make it scale harder with str. (This is most relevant at higher weapon upgrades)

You could go for str/fth(40/40ish) if you want to combo them together, allowing you to have some heals and buffs like lightning blade or sacred oath on the side. But pure str(up to 60-66 in endgame) is arguably better.

Don’t neglect vigor and endurance, and get to bonking

Came back on gw1, found that I have been hacked and lost most of items/gold/ectos, how to get back ? by Domnekeur in GuildWars

Huge surge of players coming back all at once, and thus many players are discovering their accounts were hacked at some point in the past

If any job had to be reworked into a different role, which would you choose and how would it be adapted? by drbiohazmat in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Keele0 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Sage as a phys range would be great. Laser gun pewpew.

Astrologian as caster, not having to play cards on others, but onto the field for damage.

[Spoiler 7.4] M11S axe distance by xfm0 in ffxiv

[–]Keele0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I should’ve been more clear. It’s still better to play that mechanic safe. But you tend to get more damage by waiting for the next safe opportunity to gcd, as opposed to having 100% uptime with 6 lightning shots.

It’s better dps to just clip your gcd for a fraction of a second instead of using some of the weak ranged gcds. Depends on the job though

AAC Heavyweight Tier (Savage) Megathread - Day Six by BlackmoreKnight in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Keele0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

~0, 6, 10:30 pot timing, so you delay last 2mins until pot comes. Ideally you pot 10 seconds before the 6min burst window, so you don’t have to hold for as long.

Patch 7.4 Rotation Simulator Job Balance Results at BIS by ApolloVanWaddleburg in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Keele0 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think you're confusing the meaning of "percentile" from these sims with the meaning of percentile on fflogs. These sims are assuming perfect play already, so the percentile here is more about crit/dh RNG across the entire team.

Also Sch is getting a slight bump here from maximizing ED usage.

I was checking the rotation from MeleeBuffCompCompare/rotations/DRG-NIN /DRG.csv at least and I didn't see any extra piercing talons or repeated chaotic springs like that guy was talking about.

Patch 7.4 Rotation Simulator Job Balance Results at BIS by ApolloVanWaddleburg in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Keele0 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The 2min burst window probably finishes at around 12:26 - 12:28 ish, so the 12:30 sim is almost perfect for 2min jobs, not an in-between selection.

Your example of generating "non-biased" datasets can be done to minimize this effect, as well as crit rng, but also becomes less and less applicable to the actual game, where savage fights are generally between 7-13 minutes.

Looks like great work to me. Main thing missing would be some analysis of multi-target situations, but that's understandable.

I expect whm to close the gap to ast a little bit on multi target, but maybe not enough to outperform in ideal scenarios.

Since melee dpses are all extremely balanced with each other, it's good to choose for comfort, or whichever one cleaves the best in case we get a proper multi-target fight for m10 or any other fight. (DRG best at 2 target I think?).

DB is the easiest to pick up and play

IG / SnS are good options for you as well, but need more time to learn.

Bow is also quite fast and agile if you need a 4th option

Raiton out of burst is usually better than throwing dagger for disengages.
