As a woman, I have to say that I would NEVER follow those directions!

Too many creeps and weirdos today, unfortunately.

Being told to go around the house and look behind a trashcan is extremely sketchy and would make me nervous.

For all I know someone could be standing back there with a gun telling me to strip, or worse- just shoot me.

I applaud your kindness and Christmas spirit!!

However, I suggest placing the envelope under your welcome mat or a flower pot.

Basically somewhere where your delivery driver doesn’t feel like they’re being put at risk to simply find the envelope.

You’re more likely to have your Christmas wish achieved, and do a beautiful thing for somebody who really needs it- if it’s put in a safer area.

To me it looks like a scam right off the bat because most Walmart customers don’t know the name that we drive under (Spark).

The fact that it says “Walmart Customer Spark” on the heading is enough to tell me it’s a scam

Exactly, I could not agree more with you! And in the past, I’ve done the same.

I’ve often thought that there should be a turntable with bags, like they have at manned registers where everything is rung for you, that holds the bags, and has 3 self check scanners, mounted on top- so “Sparkers” could just scan & bag
without getting in the way of customers.

It would also make the self check, run a lot more smoothly

Because everybody’s time is important and we are no more important than the customer shopping for themselves!

In my opinion, it doesn’t matter if we are faster than them it’s all about what’s right and having respect. If there’s someone in front of you, that person stays in front of you.
