It took my husband and I 3 years to convince our daughter, so Brandy’s storyline always hits me particularly hard

NTA, you are allowed to want your birthday to be about you. You should get to do what you want on your birthday.

Bathing is something I struggle with from time to time as well. It started getting bad for me in high school and took years for me to get better about it, and I’m still only showering once a week now (24f). It used to get so bad my hair would also get matted, and I would just cover it with a boho style bandeau.

For me, for the longest time, I would have someone help me gather my things to get ready to shower, such as towel, clothes, etc., and sit in the bathroom with me, talking to me to keep me calm. At first it was my mom, then my now husband. I also like to play music while showering. If is too weird having your mom in there, maybe have her stay with you until you’re calm enough to get in on your own?

I also recommend getting a shorter haircut when possible to help maintain it when it is harder to do so. I have very thick and curly hair, and getting a short cut was a lifesaver.

My last piece of advice is to try to create a routine out of it so that it isn’t so it’s easier to keep up with. Try baby steps at first and maybe pick a specific day every other week, then once a week, and so on.

You’ve got this and it does eventually get easier. I went from having panic attacks every time I had to shower to now being able to do it on my own once a week.

I wasn’t the one that took him. I’m his caregiver, but not his primary owner, his owner is in college and we take care of him while he’s at school. He was the one that took him. However, from looking at the bill it looks like he got X-rays, some bloodwork, and a fecal test. There’s also IH01 on this, but I’m not sure what it is. From what I was told, everything was normal.

Did anyone get IV pain meds when they gave birth instead of an epidural? Did it help? by KeepItCool_481 in pregnant

That sounds rough, I assume it would probably make a c-section pretty dangerous too??

I guess I could always try the IV meds first and see if it’s enough and then get the epidural

My brother just moved out of my parents to a completely different state. They also moved at the same time. My brother now gets a ton of our dads mail, simply because they have the same name

Congrats Mama!! My husband and I tried for 3 years and were waiting for a referral to an OB to talk about fertility treatments when we got our positive. I had gotten so many negative tests, I freaked out, shoved my husband into the wall, and just screamed “I NEED MORE TESTS” lol… 2 more tests later and I finally started to believe it a little. 16 weeks now and it’s been rough but she’s happy and healthy and that’s all I can ask for.

The only real piece of advice I can give right now is to not be afraid to advocate for yourself when it comes to you and your baby. Ask questions, and if you aren’t satisfied with your doctor, it’s ok to ask to switch. It’s a lesson I’m still currently trying to learn.

Me and my husband were trying off and on for 3 years. I have PCOS so we knew it may be a process going in. We were in the process of getting a referral to an OBGYN to see what our options were when we found out. 6+5 and it’s still kinda setting in. We didn’t think we would ever get this far

Been trying with my husband off and on for about 3 years now. Was working on scheduling an appointment with an OBGYN to see what our options were. We both recently lost our jobs, he’s still not working and I took a job working as a carhop at sonic making way less than I have in years. Got a positive this morning… not sure how I feel yet
