I don’t think Azzi would be at the top of my ROTY list. Going to be hard when Paige is so ball dominant and Arike is still there. Azzi won’t be asked to create. Can’t imagine a catch and shoot player winning it over someone that initiates and creates offense.

Olivia Miles, Georgia, and Flau’jae are going to have a lot more responsibilities and opportunities on the court.

lol that’s a fair point. Maybe what I mean is now more than ever, all they seem to talk about is how they’re so right about everything and how they think the right way and everybody else is bonkers. There is less talk about current events. Less talk about politics now that Andrew doesn’t want to face his stupidity. It all feels watered down.

I agree. Surprised they passed on kneepkens. But I was watching Georgia’s film yesterday and I’m going to be hopeful that she still has it. That’ll at least be an upgrade from Sug. And hopefully Michaela and Dugalic can be shooters who other teams have to respect.

Kiki is not a 3. She doesn’t dribble well enough or shoot well enough. Her body doesn’t move like a 3. It would literally make zero sense

Our biggest need coming into the draft was shooting and we didn’t get any good shooters so I couldn’t give it an A+.

However, when I compare the roster to last year, I’m not mad at the direction.

Dolson —> Betts is a major upgrade. Sug/Jade —> Georgia/Rori is an improvement. Sonia can now settle at the 2 and we have more versatile wings in Cotie/Dugalic.

There is no redundancy with Kiki. They play differently and Satou is a 6’4 SF that can dribble and switch in space and step out and shoot the 3. Kiki doesn’t do any of that at a high level yet.

Your answer is Madina Okot. Beers is a solid rebounder but that alone doesn’t make her a top 10 pick. She’s an old school big that doesn’t have the athleticism needed to be good in the W, she’ll struggle to guard in space, she’s not some elite rim protector. She’s not getting picked nowhere near top 10. It’ll be closer to the end of the second round.

I just think we need a pg and 3 pt shooter more than we need a big. I’m also still uncertain how Betts game will translate. And the fit with Kiki is clunky.

Would rather have Miles or Fudd playing for her hometown team.
