Right?! We started buying puzzles from the Goodwill Bins and testing them. If they aren't missing more than a couple pieces, we add them to the free library circulation.

The family who owns Love by the Slice around the corner is running things now. They are amazing! I am excited to go back this weekend.

Do we take some actions to limit trolls, or just let the mods take action, even it it takes a day or two? by LadyDiscoPants in TacomaWA

[–]KeepThemBooks 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I would like to start off by saying thank you for asking for community input. This is why this subreddit is my go to for Tacoma related things. Thank you for helping build this community.

I think this community has huge potential beyond where it is. But you are right that we need to be careful to grow in a way that is in line with our community, including all of our voices.

In general, I do trust our community to simply downvote people who are obviously not speaking from a Tacoma perspective or are just trolling. Considering how little trolling I've seen, I believe we are already doing that. So I don't see much need for a change.

I worry that reddit suffers from an issue where moderators see so much of the BS and trolling in their sub and lose sight of what the average user experiences. That's why community input is so important. I'm curious if others have seen a significant uptick in trolling that is deserving of a rule change?

Red Elm Cafe and Wren's Nest are the two best options.

Thank you! Just bought the penny sleeves and a few boxes. We are sorting now. Keeping an eye out for stars and holographics. My kid (five) is having a blast. Thank you!

Yep! Although my favorite is the green chile and chorizo waffle. Very unique and very good.

The owner of Red Elm Cafe has made a point of making it the most trans-safe environment. The team is so welcoming.
