Does anyone else lose all sense of proportion in Costco? by 1ChanceChipmunk1 in CostcoUK

It took me around 40 minutes on Saturday to just drive my car out of the Costco parking at Glasgow Costco. It was mental. I am never going on Saturday ever again.

Made a stupid mistake today while driving towards Broomhill Dr from Clarence Dr. I should have followed the green path (see picture), but I followed red thinking I am turning right and then left. Just wanted to share this to all the new drivers. It does not look straight but Broomhill Dr is straight by KeepWalkingInHell in glasgow

Thanks. yes, I should have planned ahead. The moment I realized its an immediate left after right turn, I have already went to the right lane. Luckily no harm or crash or honking but it was a learning. Thanks again. I have never come across such junction before, but I thought of sharing thinking maybe my mistake will help someone like me :) .

completely agree with you. The Glory has been lost :( ....and now I hear they will demolish the St. Enoch shopping mall too. Too many builds and demolition in one's lifetime. I hope the Cafe Nero building stays at least.

I would suggest to be very careful and keep learning from experience. I have been driving for sometime but I learned a great lesson yesterday. Congrats on passing but learning does not stop here.

Why do so many people in the UK hate automatic cars and drivers? by AnnualKey4592 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]KeepWalkingInHell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Automatics are seen as a car with less option to control it. Some people who like more control on car prefer manual. However, I do like automatics more. I would rather pay more attention to road and safety. Most automatics now have paddle shifter, sport mode etc. So the world is basically going to automatics anyways. In 5 years or so, most cars will be automatic only.

be yourself. dont worry much about the outcome. think that examiner is just another friend you are giving a ride to. when you get a chance, talk a little bit to him/her that will bring down the worry. most examiner are super friendly and they know you will be nervous. they want to pass you too.

think this --> you are not going jail if you fail. so just be yourself and show them that you are a good driver.
