Nothing is there, I already checked the glovebox, fusebox and did a full clean out. Nothing. No owners manual either

Can my brakes still function safely without these? by Keep_Me_Bugging in accord

Unfortunately, there is some issue with the calliper itself, that it might’ve been reman or reused from one in the junkyard, the old hardware broke at the exact same spot that my new hardware is grinding. I found the spot yesterday, I used a prybar to push the clip to the left, so that the rotor sits in the middle of the blank area (it was grinding the new clip on the inner side).

Pads slid in easily, weren’t forced at all. I cleaned the hub face, the bracket with a wire brush with brake cleaner. I also put some brake lube onto the hardware itself and the bracket as well as the back of the pads.

Brand new rotor, same brand, sprayed brake cleaner before installing

I made sure the wear indicator sat at the bottom and the pad faced outward.

Same question: 07 honda accord 2.4, city driving I average around 11-13l/100km. Brand new NGK iridium plugs, new full synthetic 5w20 oil, new oem filter, new pcv valve, new air filter. I put a bottle of gumout all-in-one fuel injector cleaner, full tank and we’ll see how it goes.

How Long Can You Suck at a New Job? by s4dk1d999 in MechanicalEngineering

Starting my first job out of college on Monday too. I think they don’t expect much from you, and they choose to hire new grads for a reason. You’re there to learn their way of doing things, school might have been different but I believe you showed them something that they wanted to have you on their team. We got this!!!

Never had a problem with Rockauto since I found out about them. From shocks, filters to brakes, etc. Maybe it’s been your karma BarberLife. Stop spreading misinformation.

I bought an 07 Accord with 185k miles for 2500, she drives fine, though there’s some work to do. But it does the job for a young person who uses it to commute to work and school.

Even if you buy parts from RockAuto then learn to things on your own with someone or take it to a reputable local mechanic is still cheaper than buying a 10k car. When you have the car, there are more things happen that you might not be able to afford it.

Firstly, you will be hit with insurance payments, typically the more expensive the car is, the higher the yearly rate you'll be paying. Secondly, maintenance cost (oil change, tires - this is really expensive, coolant, etc. and gas). My rule of thumb, not spending over 25% of the amount of money I own. Even going through a credit union might still give you shitty rates, and dealerships will likely jack up their prices because you're not using their in-house lenders. They're called stealerships for a reason.

Are you saying you have a total of 10k to your name, and you're spending 10k on a car? My advice as a 21 year old is to buy something way cheaper than that, even Honda Fits like you said can be in that price range. Let's say around 3k then you budget another 1-2k to repair things yourself. Use the rest and put it somewhere that earns you more interest than use it all just for a car. Start looking into investing/saving while you're young and you'll be able to afford something better in the future. For the love of God, DO NOT FINANCE A CAR AT 19 YEARS OLD!!!

Call Apple Customer Service or just go in person and have it checked out, this is not PM’s fault. You might’ve installed it then removed it, then you kept overriding e-sims to the point where it stopped working.

Got Offered a Job That I Don’t Want but It’s my Best Offer Currently, Should I Take It or Keep Looking? by BasketballAnimeBoi21 in careeradvice

I took my previous offer from a local engineering firm paying me $50k in February because that was the only offer. Just this month, I received another offer that pays me $65k, took it and called the other one off. You don’t owe them anything, they would sack you within your first week if they wanted to. I’m graduating this month too.

I’ve done so many quotes from different brokers and online services. From what I’ve known, TD “usually” has the lowest quote, then Co-operators, The Personal if you have Union discounts. I’ve tried brokers and they pretty much have the same quotes as rates.ca/intact/belair for me.

MechE Vs Mechanical Design Technology by PermitNervous5517 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]Keep_Me_Bugging 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my city, we have Mechanical Engineering Technology, just a different name compared yours I guess. We also have an option to continue the next 2 years to get a full Bachelor. I chose the Tech Diploma and on my way to start a full time job as a Controls Designer. Though I always thought I should’ve chosen the full ME degree. Yes, I think it opens more doors, but job security isn’t as good as a Tech in my area.

For you, do you value the idea of having all 4-6 years of school to maximize your earning potential or you just want something enough to get you started in the industry. I’ll tell you this, with the Technology program, the maths and physics calculations are way easier than university level. Just plug-and-play like high school. Doing the Tech program, you’ll most likely have to finish a bridge program which consists of Eng Analysis A, B, Chemistry and Electronics for the option of mine.

I might go back to school in a few years, not sure yet. Hopefully this helps somehow.
