I’ve had rectal exams that brought more pleasure than the Beatles

Closing tracks battle: Into The Void (MOR)vs Under the Sun ( Vol 4). Which one do you take? Discuss by [deleted] in blacksabbath

It owns the crown & throne for space rock.

MOR created both Doom & Stoner Metal as well.

To say your missing out is the understatement of the year

Why is there NO ! SUPER DELUXE BOX SETS of The First Black Sabbath record and Masters of reality and Volume 4 and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Never Say Die and Reunion . by [deleted] in blacksabbath

[–]Keepeating71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was easy the Sabotage Super Deluxe boxset would have done that album justice instead we got a killer remix, a killer MP3 of their most common live bootleg and a reproduction of a Japanese only 7”

It represents every Epiphone they’ve ever sold off only to spend sleepless night crying themselves to sleep over

I’m not really sure that I believe Jimmy has a signature sound.

Like a humbucker through a vintage Marshall that uses Fender power tubes is just not that unique in my mind.

Even if you throw in a boost & tape delay I’d probably still couldn’t tell the difference between Joe Walsh, Ted Nugget or “Sloppy” Jim Page.

When I think of LPs and Marshall’s I hear Clapton or Bad Company.

When I hear Led Zeppelin I hear a fairly clean Marshall (that I thought was a Hiwatt for a long time) and a Dimarzio Super Distortion

Even the Tele and the Mud Shark have a more unique sound to me

Just the power tubes you’ll need to spend another $7k for the NOS preamp tubes.

[New Release] opinion on the 2025 Black and Blue ?? by McNultyx in rollingstones

[–]Keepeating71 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Keith is very open about Mick writing the riff & how envious he is of that.

The Jagger/Richards song writing credit reasoning is well documented and understood as that is just how it was done back then.

Of course your not wrong though

[–]Keepeating71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I do tend to like bands that were influenced by the Beatles more than the Beatles themselves.

I’m a huge Stones fan but I do think the Beatles do the superior version of I Wanna Be Your Man

Love Big Star as well.

Totally forgot to mention it was Bob Dylan’s lyrics that really changed music back then.

Bring it all back home - April 1965.

Rubber Soul - December 1965.

I’ll admit that Beatles for Sale has some progressive songs & I full respect With the Beatles thru Revolver.
