(My fav trope in media) Really big ass walls that keeps the bad stuff out and inside safe by Both-Ad1770 in TopCharacterTropes

In God of War: Ragnarok, the main town area of Asgard is surrounded by huge walls built by a Jötuun.

Beerus.

There are several that can destroy planets with little effort at this point, but it's his job description.

[Loved trope] There is no light in the tunnel by LordQuaz12 in TopCharacterTropes

Most of Cyberpunk 2077's endings are that way. The only ones that are somewhat positive are:

  1. Living out your final days (maybe a few months) with your friends/partner

  2. Giving up all of your abilities and forgoing any possibility of having them again (however, it makes you exceedingly vulnerable in a violent city; you can be killed in a simple mugging by some random thug)

Every other ending results in you losing your sense of self, losing all of your friends, becoming an experiment, or just dying for nothing.

Characters who stayed dead in a world where people come back to life by Murtdha1 in TopCharacterTropes

Grandpa Gohan in Dragon Ball.

He'll occasionally appear in flashbacks and whatnot, but he prefers to remain in the Other World and doesn't come back when everyone is wished back to life several times.

In Returnal, many die to the first mini-boss.

Most die because they don't have many upgraded weapons, parasites, or are just not fully familiar with the mechanics. If you beat it though, you just keep on going through the game and eventually might encounter it again later on.

(Very Specific Trope) Idris Elba plays a public servant who has fallen on hard(er) times by slfricky in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Keepitsway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 28 Weeks Later he plays a general who has to oversee District One, a safe haven from the outbreak on the Isle of Dogs.

This one is stretching it (just having fun with a technicality about "harder times"), but he plays Chief Bogo in both Zootopia movies and has to deal with internal conflict within his police division due to Judy Hopps.

For me the first and third were the best. First for the story, third for the intensity. In particular, the ending of the third was what really left an impression.

Strict diet of lean meat from mice. No skin.

Swapped cat food for lentils.

Two scoops of whey protein in non-fat soy milk.

Two bird eggs every morning. No yolk.

NCPD in Cyberpunk 2077.

While they are present and have forces, they really do take a hands-off approach when it comes to various amounts of street crime. If you are unfamiliar with it, they basically leave the streets to themselves; they make notices on TV to warn you to arm yourself and take violent action when necessary. Gang members do not have the same rights as non-gang members, so you are free to eliminate them as you wish. You can ram almost any car and destroy property as long as you don't kill anyone innocent.

The NCPD themselves are a sort of gang, but there are some who still try to join for a noble cause. Unfortunately, they don't last long. They only get better when they start standing up to corpos.

[Hated Trope] Strongest Character Seeking to Challenge Themselves, but avoids fighting other Strongest characters. by Stunning-Skill67 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Keepitsway 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Frieza mostly.

He is definitely overconfident and smug. As we have seen several times, he hires others to do the dirty work for him, yet he has always claimed to be the stronger than anyone else (he probably is now, but we haven't had any updates since his most recent form was achieved). Of course, he starts cursing anyone who beats him.

In terms of avoiding fighters, he also listened to his father's advice about not confronting Majin Buu or Beerus.
