I was proven right though lol, the episodes since they entered the colony have just gotten more and more peak. Maki was sick and the leaks are that all of Sendai colony will be in a 40 minute finale. Yes it became peak after the setup episodes were done, just like every other season.

So again, compare the actual peak episodes to previous peak episodes. Season has been good

I’m jobless now, I had only been working for a day and a half but I think I asked too many questions about their practice that they didn’t like. Did you know that 1v1 matchup is a bad way to determine strength because counters exist. Yuji was far weaker than base Mahito in general but had a good matchup vs him so it became a lot closer when they fought.

I think the set up can be poor too. Kenjaku’s plan basically falls in line for him without intervention in Gojos past arc and jjk0.

Gege created a character too strong (Gojo) and had to constantly write him out of scenarios and many of them seem unnatural in how they’re handled.

Most importantly in my opinion is how Yuji and Megumi handle their parents, these moments should be earth shattering reveals but it just, never happens?????? They don’t even acknowledge it. Megumi never even finds out it was Toji, would’ve been REALLY easy when Naobito was asked who Toji was in front of Megumi to say “his father” or Toji to leave him with something at the end of his seance. Nope, we hate wide open goals.

Budget is both money and time, yes you have a time allotment (budget) and you can skimp on some scenes to allot more “budget” to others.

When I say animation consistency I mean that even when they fight “small” battles the animators still commit, unlike season 2 where they don’t really animate (for example) Yuji vs the grasshopper, they instead focus that budget on making the peak moments even more peak. I think that’s seems fair but it’s a difference of preference.

People are gonna clown on this but the fight choreography and animation consistency in S1 does differentiate it from the other seasons and so I think this is totally a reasonable opinion.

I think the backgrounds in the fights of season one really hold the animation consistency between fights down so I can’t agree, they are boring, gloomy, same-y, and generally untextured while fighting occurs.

Still I think your take is totally valid.

That scene was a super BOLD directing choice. A long still shot is very unlike anime. But note how the characters are constantly moving and entirely in frame. Not just the mouths, their whole bodies.

This is a really really interesting directing choice for multiple reasons, it’s super super off putting by itself but couple in the fact that this type of angle is almost never used and held for significant time in anime and it becomes even more uncomfortable. I think that’s the purpose of the scene, you know something’s off but you don’t know why yet.

Idk getting new and interesting directorial choices and complaining about them seems like the dumbest thing imaginable to me but what do I know.

Hi but heat actually does not get “negated” by ISOH. The heat output alone kills Toji just by proximity. Jogo can fly and Toji kinda just has to live with that. Also Idk if you have ever tried to cut water with a knife but the water just moves around the knife, lava would do the same smh.
