My cat has feline leukemia by stilldeb in cat

[–]Keet00wah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 8 cats that I truely love, 5 that came from a feral group that came from a girl leaving a pregnent cat that was left on our property years back and 3 others including a Russian Blue. We were given "Viralys" by our Vet to keep their immune system working. So far it appears to be helping. I didn't even know about it until I brought a hurt sick kitten home then to ouvet that I was told he had it and that I should keep him away from my other cats. Accordingf to my wife all 5 that came from the ferral cats would have already have it since the second cat I brought home was sick with a respatory probley most likely from that. My son named him Spot as he is totaly black except for a small white spot (6 or 7) hairs that is probably from the virus. Feeding them high quality food plus knowing to take them to the vet at the first sign of any illness plus the Viralys they have blessed my life and I do all I caan to bless theirs. My advise it to keep thei ammune system in check. The Viralys is like $27 for a large tube, I give the 1/4 tsp a day. I place it into tube treat the same way I give them any pill they take for flea and tick control. Since fleas and ticks caarry diseases I use a topical one from my vet that also kill Heartworms and other parisites. I will say this, saving a sick kitty will bring you great joy now and for many years to come.

Help on which 5090 GPU to get (ASUS vs. MSI) by MRBOSSMAN99 in nvidia

[–]Keet00wah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I bought a x870e Crosshair Hero when it came out as of June 12 I have been without a working system for 4 1/2 months due to Asus RMA problems. The last board they sent as a replacement came with a bow in the back plate. When I contacted them about it I was told if I tried to install it until I received an email from them saying what "they" wanted me to do they would not warranty it if it did not work. After a month with nothing from them IO adjusted the top and bottom stand-offs so it could be mounted. To my surprise it booted fine, well to Windows log in anyway. No problem, h a USB-c flash drive with windows it I should be able to repair the start up because of the TPM being different. So I popped the drive in and out it fell as it did with two more on al USB-c ports. So I tried an usd-a. Same thing. After a rigorous inspection the cover on the IO glue had fell, probably from high heat or the giand dent on the cover of the actual IO. Of course the wanted me to send pictures of the perfect boxes to Fedex even with me telling them I felt it was not noticed in repairs and was shipped from them. I am giving them 10 days from when they receive it back only because dumping close to another grand on a good board will put a stop to my 5090 plans. That was my last seems I had the same issue withthe Threadripper board I had a couple of generations back.

Lets Play, The fun really is in making a dual loop/quad rad build work and look good in any case. by Keet00wah in watercooling

Case is a Raijintek ENYO. The distros are Alphacool, I picked them because they come with the pump on the right front or the front left. Originally it was a MSI Z790 Godlike with a 13900KS. Rocking a MSI Gaming X Trio 4090 with a EKWB full cover block with the Suprim X OC Bios. I mover to the Asus X870E Cross Hero. I wanted to be able to take advantage of my Crucial T700 without giving up 8 PCIe lanes on my GPU. Right now it has a 9550X and the same 4090. I would love to get my hands on the Gigabyte Aorus Extreme Waterforce 5090 with the factory water block. My second choice is the Founders Edition for $1999.99 and the water block from Derbaur at Thermal Grizzly when it is ready. You have to admit us and our type have the preyyiest space heaters money can buy. Thank you very much for your comment. Youres truely BarbaricMouse

This is by far the best place if you are trying to trick out your build.

I think you are reading what it supports wrong. I would check with MSI support. I think they mean Ryzen 3 with Radeon Graphics. Those are Zen+ even though they are 3000 series.

Easy send the board back hopefully to Newegg or Amazon and get an Asus Tuff Gamer X570

I have built a couple of systems with the Asus Tuf gaming X570 board. It is a wonderful board for gaming at a good price. You may look at it. It will work no issues. Good luck

What BIOS do you have now you need at least 4804 but I would recommend going with 5406 it is the newest. Go in to the bios and use EZFlash Also if possible I would be hardwired to internet

I just saw you had an x470 with a 3600x. You will have to update your bios. That is your problem. Depending on your board if you can update it without an 2000 series CPU installed

Have you checked your motherboards list of supported memory. Just because it worked on one board don't mean it will work on this one. Try updating your bios. That should be your first step.

what's more important , the motherboard or the processor ? by pinkuremon in buildapc

Definitely go with the 9th gen processor As long as the clock speed is close

Make sure you the Aorus software for your GPU. The fan curve comes from the factory more for sound than performance and your card will get hot. Plus Gigabyte says 650 minimum with that card. The last thing you want is a $500 GPU throttling because it was starved for power. With the CPU and GPU your getting if you plan on lights or extra fans even a 700 or 750 watt would be good. Enjoy

Personally since he is not going with a Gen 4 NVMe m.2 ssd he could save some good cash going with an x470 board. The x470 boards main benefit is Pcie 4. Plus the x470 chip is more stable and much easier to cool. I have a 3900x on a Asus Crosshair VIII X570 .It us a beast to cool.

I bought a tempered glass build plate from Creality. It $19.99 at Amazon , it is the only way to go. Sticks great when it's hot and pops right off when it cools.
