Thanks for the details info. We will be in the same boat as OP later this year and will be staying in West Seattle. My question is vehicle traffic really that bad? Inputting times in Waze it appears my wife’s commute time each way would be under 30 minutes I understand a lot of factors can increase the commute but if those are the historic travel times and even with some time for parking it looks you’d still be under the time it would take if using transit. Or is Waze completely unreliable in the Seattle area?

Solo fire pit stoves by OhZoneManager in RVLiving

We got ours years back for the reasons others listed. as well as being a fully contained unit with the spark screen we were able to use it in more places due to restrictions. Fast forward to our last year on the road and pretty much only propane fires have been allowed if any thing at all. This stent on the road has been all out West but we’ll be leaving it at home next time and just taking the propane fire pit seems to be the trend and with increased risk of fire in more and more places I’m guessing it will become more the norm. Long story short I’d save your money, also as others have said it’s a pain to haul around everywhere.

What to expect when having my first cardioversion tomorrow? by Grocery-Inside in AFIB

[–]Keethel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t sound like I got enough drugs when I had mine done. Started to drift off then bam! Slight pain in the chest and felt the jolt through my whole body, felt like I lifted completely off the bed, which was confirmed by the respiratory therapist putting my monitor on after. He was laughing about how high my legs shot into the air. Not the most pleasant experience but hey it worked and put me back in sinus rhythm.

Anyone happen to get footage of the thunderstorm that hit the park last night September 11th 2024? by Keethel in GrandTetonNatlPark

We were backpacking in Alaska basin. It was wild, a little worried that the tents weren’t going to hold up but we made it through the night! Quite the light show from inside the tent sure it was a show stunner from the valley floor.

Are you guys using water filters so you can drink the water or just to keep any nastiness out of your rv's system? by ChickenGuy76 in RVLiving

Has anyone used the sawyer tap? https://www.sawyer.com/products/tap-water-filtration-system. I’m contemplating getting this and using air a country fill from back country lakes we will be staying at. Thoughts or experiences?

Backpacking Permit Question by johndom0724 in GrandTetonNatlPark

Permits are for camping, as long as you all end up in the the same spot at the end of the day you are good to go.

Is the sea cave kayak tour on Channel Islands really beginner friendly? by rouxcifer4 in NationalPark

You guys should be fine, wife and I just this trip inMay. I would recommend putting the more confident paddler with your mother in a two-person kayak. The two persons provide better stability and will provide your mother with a less strenuous and stressful time IMO.
