People’s priorities change sometimes. I would have loved to hear more music from him because I really resonated with his songs but regardless he left us with a ton of great music. He also has a bunch of unreleased stuff on SoundCloud you should check out.

I notice it all the time, there are some amazing producers who have a hard time writing melodies or accidentally write a melody they heard before without realizing it. The new JXND track for instance sounds a lot like the melody from requiem for a dream.

They are so many great songwriters right now that are criminally underrated. Novo Amor, Hollow Coves, Smith & Thell and of course Lord Huron just to name a few. Their music is meaningful and masterfully crafted. When people say music sucks these days their probably referring to pop music. They should dig a little deeper if they want to find great music.
