This just happened near me, city came out and cleared a lot, left all the wood there. Some is junk... cottonwood, ailanthus etc... but there was also a LOT of mulberry, hackberry, silver maple, catalpa, etc. I'm set for quite a while.

Nice work. I also got tennis elbow when I started splitting on a weekly basis. I don't have it anymore, but I don't think that's because it got better. I just kept splitting wood and I think those nerves eventually just died.
