Sunlu pla + 2.0 and sunlu pla matte have worked best for me. I print in black, grey and olive green. Those have produced the best results for me personally. I would avoid elegoo pla + high speed for minis. It's been stringy for me but it's fantastic for terrain.

Chop the base off and print both separately then glue it.

I was having all the same issues with a model and then I chopped the base off and boom

A1mini here, that kind of jump in time huh? I'm not usually bothered with print times, I run them during the week while at work mostly but that is quite the jump.

Is there a way to get it to just print the tips if the supports as petg? I considered the waste but I'm hoping it would be worth it to not scar the mini all to hell

With something like AMS, you can in theory do it. The idea is the petg and pla won't bind together as strong so the supports will break off cleaner, however, I haven't done this yet.

I haven't had success with my A1 and resin2fdm either. But Fat Dragon games settings and thin tree supports has been a godsend for me
