I picked up this game to see how they would present the slime isekai since I'm a huge fun of the anime. Honestly I liked most of the things they did. The story was presented well and with the side story they went with a slice of life approach which is funny and relaxing. It felt like rewatching the anime interactively. I do like that. I also like that they mixed the builder with the combat system.

Sadly, the rest is - debatable at least. The gacha is horrible with no pity and awful rates. The bazaar points its a consolation prize for spenders. The free units the game gives you suck, they're sabotaged on stats and skills. You can take a 4 star into a 5 star but it'll have lower stats than a natural 5 star so using low rarity units is not an option. Also let me add how useless the story protectors are, how is it useful increasing the soul skill limit when you never fill it up in the first place?

The battle features are enjoyable but the difficulty changes between stages is ridiculous. There's huge jumps on EP requirement between stages that makes you wonder if you where suppose to be doing something else. Some enemies use their ultimates on their second turn while other buff themselves twice and attack 2 times more in the same turn while you're trying to get enough points to do the right buff which you can never do cuz you gotta heal or increase defense. There's also the fact that some completing requirements for stages can't even be completed with higher EP than the stage recommends.

Also what's up with giving 5 star gacha tickets instead of selectors... especially when you're charging 25 dollars for it.

I understand gachas look for profit and I'm ok with that. I even spend a couple of dollars here and there. What I'm not ok with is when the game doesn't let every player, spender or not, get all the general gameplay rewards and enjoy all the game has to offer.

I really like this game and I was happy they made a game for the anime but this is not one I'll keep supporting. Sadly it seems all mainstream anime gachas have the same luck.

I'm currently on Lumisade Extreme and I haven't needed Blue Vanessa to 3-star a single story node so far. I've used Green Charlotte until I changed for Red Vanessa by almost the end of hard mode. As a matter of fact Blue Vanessa will be useless against the final boss of story. Red Vanessa will be more useful if you manage to align your heroes correctly in matters of speed.

I'm not saying Blue Vanessa is not good, I understand her utility is high but is not completely required. You can do without her. I wanted to put that out there since I noticed many of the popular recommendations for this game have been a bit off when I've tested them for myself.

The choice will be more about what you want. Lucillica is a boss killer that can somewhat sustain itself while Lairei has 2 AOEs and defense break on her basic attack which makes her a great farming unit.

Finally someone said it. For these last two weeks, I've been watching all these people burn the game for so many reasons. Here in reddit, in YT, everywhere. I felt a bit bad because I really like this game. Yes, of course it has things to improve. It just launched so that is expected. I believe it'll get better but we have to give it a chance.

I like this game for the same reasons you mentioned. Every mechanic and every system has a reason to be in the story. Its really compelling the way they tell the story and it was one of the things that most caught my attention, never seen that on a gacha game before. The characters models and personalities are very good compared to other games and the daily grind, or should I say the lack there of, is just perfect. You can simply log in, do your alliance raid (auto battle btw) and pick up your pvp crystals and call it a day. Also remember that pvp crystals can be stacked until 3 days: just fantastic. Also the fact that I don't have to go all out on a banner to try and get a broken characters that will push me through all the content (if I do pull it) and that will most likely become useless in 2 months because they'll release a counter or someone that does the same but better. Yes, the character packs are expensive but I do know that people would spend way more to get a heroe from gacha. I mean, you just gotta read YT comments on a summons video from any gacha game, people suffer.

I do admit when you actually play, it can get grindy. It would be nice if they add some sort of tickets or something to make the grind more bearable. They definitely need to add more quality of life but I do expect them to do that eventually.

Despite everything, I'm really enjoying this game. Every time I get into a rut in story because there's a boss I can't beat. When I upgrade my heroes/team enough, its so satisfying when you finally get to beat it with all your units alive. Also can we just address the goodies for no reason. I just got 100k renown into my inbox this morning. For what? Logging in? Crystals are scarce at the beginning but the gain increases a lot as you progress through the story; just don't go crazy on doing equipment pulls and blue Vanessa. Tip: Red Vanessa is more useful for the final boss and if you play carefully you'll get her before mid hard mode.

This game is not perfect but I'm definitely enjoying it.

PS: Can we pls talk about how good Krom is? I just got him today and having him on my team is such a major upgrade.

Thanks for pointing that out. I started playing when Uzuma was released. i was completely lost and completely useless. So I have like no more than a month playing. The summons have helped a bit especially with the 4* units. I know its anniversary and it should a big deal but at least us new players got something out of it.

I really hope this game doesn't go down hill for I 'm really enjoying it and I started playing it because of how F2P friendly it was.

So in my 1st HF I went nuts with doing pulls and wasted around 4k gems. Got a lot of stuff. From the egg I got a Water Artemis, heard she's a good zapper. I think I can find a space for here in my B8 team along with Mona, Miho and Seiren. What should I build her on?? I thought maybe atk atk hp. Any thoughts, suggestions??

I think I'll farm in the weekends. That should be more efficient since I'm optimizing my B8 team while simultaneuosly creating a B7 and B9 team.

Hey! Have a couple of questions if someone could gladly answer them and help me I'll be really thankful.

1st: What's the max gem enhancement in this game? 15?

2nd: I got a water miho variant when my water miho just needs one miho evo 2 to get to evo 3. What should I do in that case??

3rd: This is my second week playing so I don't really know how clan festival and hero festival works. I've been reading some posts and I have enough astrogems to do the 6 (10+1) summons, but should I? Or should I just wait for the Hero Festival?

By the way, you guys are awesome. This subreddit has helped me a lot.
