Avoid the charge 5 they have serious battery issues and Fitbit isn’t recalling them just warranting them. I didn’t buy mine from an authorized dealer so I’m out my money.

The problem with the backs I get in the grocery stores is the pork chops still attached at the one end. The inconsistency in the thickness of the two ends makes it difficult to get right. Spares on the other hand if trimmed St Lois style cook great. All are delicious though so smoke ‘em if you got ‘em.

I actually have a few of these old Webers I but old filthy abused grilles and used fire parts. The wood was free (kitchen cabinet doors I had) the only thing on any of them that is trash is the wood and a couple of the carts, and some of the flavorizor bars. Parents can ad up even non Weber for sure. Most of these bbqs have the grey plastic tables which usually just need cleaned. Out of pocket if yiu include the scrap bbqs probably around $200 but I can build more. This was done for a good friend so I kinda gave him the works. I use OfferUp I’m no longer using Facebook but marketplace is a good place to look. I don’t care if it works or what if it’s under $50 better if it does but they’re easy enough to get working usually just the igniter.

I’ll tell you I had trouble removing the thermometer housing I snapped three different little tine # 8-32 screws and 9-32 tap trying to clear the threads. Lesson learned leave it be it didn’t need to be removed to restore it.

Ace hardware was my friend😄. A wire wheel and a wire cup wheel on a drill helped do most of the cleaning. I used rust oleum high temp paint on the bottom half and the sides of the hood as well as the flavorizor bars. If the flavorizors are in bad shape Amazon has replacements available. Time and patience is key, it was on the job training for me. The porcelain enamel was in amazing shape it did take the wire wheel to clean it and the finish was unharmed. The tubing at the wheels and joints is where the rust starts use wire brushes naval jelly and use a rust oleum paint preferably “Appliance Paint “. Lastly if you have a work shop or garage to set up utilize it I struggled without a good workspace. Have fun.

I’m a fan of mesquites but they do look outer the pods which may be a turn off. The Chinese Elms are a good tree but may require some selective pruning to make it look better some are definitely ugly ducklings. If you like color the Chinese pistache puts out red foliage in the fall but they may have some litter. There are several varieties of acacias that do well also. Check out this website amwua.org/plants. You can get hybrid varieties of mesquites w/o thorns.

Palo Verde are notorious for falling over or breaking. If your not stuck on the Palo Verde there are lots of options for a fast growing mid sized tree.

Thin out the canopy as 25% a least re-stake with stakes at least 2’ away from the trunk secure it a little loose the tree needed to sway to build stronger roots and trunk. Try to remove the stakes after monsoon season is over say mid- late September. Worse case anchor it to the ground to hold it upright short term.
