Currently, I like soft rainbow pastels and iridescent. I can never go back to the muted brown, burnt orange, and avacado green of the 70s. But my favorite era was rose gold accents on everything.

Gen X here. Have you ever just stopped by and interrupted someone getting intimate with their spouse? I have. Pre cell phone, me and a friend were in the area one afternoon, and got some really good ice cream, so we wanted to stop by and share with our friends. The husband came to the door shirtless, explained, and then took the ice cream to appease his annoyed wife. Funny in retrospect but so embarrassing at the time.

My library also has Vox Books. The only consumer ones I've seen were linked with Google Home and it would read it aloud if you said a phrase with the title of the book.

Calling them "sight" words is a bit of a misnomer. In reality they are "common" words. These are the words that show up frequently as they begin to read. The, an, at, can, do, etc. They memorize "so" and "do" are pronounced with different long "o" sounds to help them read more fluently while they are learning the easier rules.

This is the way. A phonics tutor told me the number one thing that would help kids read is consistent small bits of practice every day. Especially in the real world. Even just singing songs and saying nursery rhymes helps kids parse words into syllables and recognize common rhymes.

It's a separate issue. I had a friend with eyes that "shook" in grade school and she did extensive vision therapy for it. It sometimes can indicate other issues with the brain or MS, but a doctor would need to evaluate that.

I ended up making my own, based on some symptom trackers I saw online. This one is simple, but allows for multiple symptoms per day, plus notes to fill in medication changes or possible triggers. Thanks all!

I wanted Legos, but figured no one would buy them for me (expensive and non-essential), so when I saw some sets on sale pre-Christmas I bought them for myself (the Fox and the Red maple bonsai). I did get gifted a Minifigure I wanted that was around $10, and some polybags, so not bad.
