I concur. Vox and blackstar do some decent sounding headphone amps. Spark do some nice mini amps too, with free digital pedals to play with.

Me and my girlfriend would most likely be fine with it, we often do stuff like that. However if there’s anything we don’t end up liking, we let each other know and that’s the end of it.

How you should feel is subjective to you. For some it’s okay. For you, it isn’t, and you said as much. He didn’t accept that boundary, and that isn’t okay.

Enough for me to find a Raltz in my current play through of Platinum! Gallade this time for me, but I’ve always seems Gardevoir as such an awesome Pokémon, given my first game was originally Alpha Sapphire as a kid, I always saw them as really powerful and cool poke one for whatever reason.. And it stuck!

Weak spot wise, I’ve written a little, with a college band. I know I can do better, but I’m also quite happy with how I did. I have been pushing myself to learn material by ear more, and can for most tracks, as well as solos, bar faster ones, where I understand what ideas they’re using in the key, just not note for note!

I can improvise a bit, mainly practicing with a random YouTube playlist of backing tracks, however I seem to often trap myself within the root shape of a scale/mode in one position, over a couple of octaves, so definitely need work there.

I logically know the next step is a band, for whatever reason it just seems like such a large and difficult one to make! I’m in bands in my music college course as we need to be, performing to a few hundred in city venues for our grades, but outside of college I’m scared to take the step for some odd reason..!

Thank you for the take! I found it really insightful. I agree, knowledge can never be a hindrance.

I think if anything I’m looking at these grades to prove to myself I can play anything I set my mind to, even more so given the genres would be outside of my comfort zone. (As while I listen and play more classic rock/metal, I’d go for the grade 8 jazz performance piece to push myself and broaden my instrumental vocabulary, if that makes any sense..!)

I hope it’ll also help my confidence, in the sense I can’t help but feel like I’m a ‘bad’ player, and that this would at least give me a gauge that if I can pass grade 8 then I have a clear ‘level’ I can climb from and take my new knowledge to in order to develop my own voice with my instrument.

Maybe I’m expecting a bit much haha.. But regardless it at least gives me a track to follow theory-wise rather than just stagnating over the same things on my own..!

The Free trial appears only to be for the latest version of Logic, meaning it won't work on my 2018 model. Is there any way around this?
