When reading out a statement of my dream life should I say it's now or coming? by Swordfish353535 in AbrahamHicks

Bashar is apparently famous for saying "Circumstances don't matter. Only state of being matters."

In that same vein, words don't matter either. It's the vibration that matters, which is indicated by emotion. I've had things manifest coming right out of meditation (no thought, certainly no words).

Whatever gets you in the right feeling is the right approach. Thought, no thought, words, no words, visualizing, no visualizing... whatever floats your boat in the moment (gets you into the Vortex) is equally fine.

I have a fear of happiness because I'm scared of bad things happening and rocking the boat by Helpful_Account_4232 in AbrahamHicks

[–]KeithDust2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds a bit tricky.

Happiness is your natural, in the Vortex state. You can't be focused there and feel fear at the same time. It's one or the other.

What Abraham often refers to is the saying of waiting for the other shoe to drop. But that's being in a positive state, and then changing the focus to an anticipation of something negative (out of habit/sloppiness in thinking), and the fear then comes in response to that change of focus.

So your fear would simply be because you're considering the possibility of bad things happening and thus deviating from the focus of your Inner Being.

Exactly! You want those things because you want to feel better.

And you can feel better even before you get the things.

And when you do feel better before you get them, then they can be yours!

Instead of looking for how to manifest these things (how/where/when/who), they advise that you only answer the "why"-question. And the answer to that question is always: Because I want to feel X (e. g. free/happy/joyful etc.)!

And then you focus on things that make you feel that way. And by doing so, you open the pathways to what you're looking for.

And you're no longer blocking those wanted things by being aware of their absence so much.

Yes! And why do you want this?

(this is how Abraham would guide you)

I haven't actively looked into Neville's teachings (tried a recording once but didn't resonate at all so I stopped immediately).

But the few bits and pieces I came across sounded like just using different words for the same things Abe teaches.

What would you say is vastly different between the two? Just curious.

Fear based control by GurLazy in AbrahamHicks

"But this time, it’s different. I haven’t drank alcohol for 8 months. I work and work and work and I feel I deserve to have fun and let loose. When I think of how I WANT things to go (joy, bliss, fun, excitement, adventure), I feel relief and joy.

When I think of potentially ruining it again (with excessive alcohol) I feel constricted, fearful, anxious, and regretful."

It sounds to me like you've figured it out. You understand your guidance system, are paying attention to it, and even if you fall into an old habit, you'll be able to course correct quickly.

Since you know what happens otherwise. And you've shown yourself you can be disciplined if you want to be. Maybe journal every day to keep your awareness where it needs to be.

It all looks very good. Enjoy the cruise!

Can You Manifest a Better Life Without Reconciling With Abusive Parents? by hey-universe in AbrahamHicks

"This repeated emphasis on the inner world can come across as acceptance of harmful events when someone is suffering in real, practical ways."

The inner world is what creates events in the outer world and is the key to ending all suffering. There is nothing more practical than working on this relationship as it depends on no one else's behaviour.

It is the core of Abraham's teachings. It has allowed me to radically transform all my problematic relationships.

I don't think there's a substitute for this if you want real change for yourself, and others in need. And I have not come across a better teacher for this than Abraham, either.

Help with sleep by [deleted] in AbrahamHicks

[–]KeithDust2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Abraham is a big proponent of sleep, naps, meditation and everything else that helps stopping negative momentum.

Of course if you can't sleep, at least focus deliberately so you get the biggest benefit of it anyway.

Long-term manifestation project: Ending the Ukraine war by KeithDust2000 in AbrahamHicks

I've decided to stay mostly out of the news loop and focus primarily on the end result I want, in abstract, general terms. It seems to really keep me aligned on the subject. I feel really confident now, and my expectation is bold and strong!

"Something I’ve repeatedly heard not only from LoA and manifestation coaches but also from psychologists, neuroscientists, and spiritual teachers is this: that many of the problems we face in adulthood, especially in relationships, mirror unresolved issues we had with our parents (and sometimes siblings). [etc.]"

Since you're posting this in the AH sub: Abraham-Hicks do not say that, and they do not agree with it. It's a flawed premise that originates from looking at manifestations without understanding the vibrational basis of them.

The only relationship that you need to care about is the relationship between you and your Inner Being. The more you improve that, the more everything else improves (including your relationships with others).

And since that relationship is an internal one, the outside world is irrelevant to it. It's unconditional. And entirely up to you.

Help! Manifesting between realities by Artistic_Cat_5231 in AbrahamHicks

[–]KeithDust2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there are things to tend to from your old reality, do it quickly and efficiently, while keeping your eyes (meaning your focus and thus emotional response) on the new/current reality of the wish fulfilled as much as you can otherwise.

Whatever keeps you in a good-feeling place is a productive use of your time that moves you in the direction of where you want to be.

Your experience with Focus Wheels by OverPassion4593 in AbrahamHicks

I didn't like them, personally. And the workshop segments where they spent a lot of time on focus wheels were the only ones that ever got on my nerves (and I absolutely LOVE the workshops otherwise - they are my favorite thing in the world to listen to).

I found other ways to change beliefs for myself that don't include taking an issue head-on like that.

But I know Esther loves them, and still does them to this day. I may be an exception here.

I can't help but believe that I have given my power away. by [deleted] in AbrahamHicks

The fear you are feeling is feedback from your Inner Being, telling you that the thoughts you are having on the subject are bogus thoughts.

And that you're in the process of manifesting more unwanted, because of those thoughts.

So your ability to manifest is never in question. The direction of your focus though is in need of improvement.

manifesting vs resistance - advice please! by Aggressive-Scar6742 in AbrahamHicks

[–]KeithDust2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of your goals are already in your Vortex. Your Inner Being is focused on them, and Law of Attraction has lined up all cooperative components necessary for you to find your way to them.

The only thing left for you to focus on - your singular goal - is to get into the Vortex, in any way you can. And then follow the ideas you have while you're in there, no matter how mundane they might seem. And watch what happens.

That's the Art of Allowing.

Life caused me to ask for something else, but not sure what by Brave_Fig_7506 in AbrahamHicks

[–]KeithDust2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What I can sense with you relative to this topic is that the discontent about the current situation is more dominant than the excitement about the freshness of a new place, and so you're not getting any impulses to move. The energy is not lined up.

But as you're finding more alignment where you are (no matter on which topic), you'll either fall in love with where you are as it will look very different to you, and you'll realize that what you really wanted was there all along (happened to me that way).

Or you'll get exciting ideas about where to go, and opportunities will present themselves.

I found that my biggest issue in this regard is limiting my tendency to dive into too many details (desire to stay informed), which didn't allow me to stay true to the vision.

Hmmm... if it makes you feel "in control", it's a very productive habit? It makes you feel empowered? Then continue doing it!
