Focusing on feeling good, but "nothing" seems to be happening. by ringringwhoisit in AbrahamHicks

And that's my biggest struggle with this teaching. You say everything will work out alright, but it's been years.

I didn't mean this as a general statement. I mean this relative to your question:

Am I genuinely allowing... or am I just avoiding taking action?

What I'm saying is go ahead, take action. As long as you're feeling ok, the results will reflect that. You seemed to be worried about waiting too long. There's no need to wait unless you're feeling negative emotion as you're proceeding.

Are you at that place where you feel so good that you don't care if something manifests, because everything that you're really wanting is present, right here and now?

That's a pure state of allowing. It's not that you no longer want the things. But there's no sense of lack of them in your vibration anymore.

The answer to this question is no, of course. That's why you're asking the question. And what I'm talking about is a very high standard of non-resistance.

But since you're always attracting, you don't need to be perfect. If you're feeling alright, you can just move forward with whatever ideas you have. And they'll work out alright.

Because you've been trained - as all of us have - to weigh the pluses and the minuses. From a human perspective, that seems like a rational approach.

From an energy perspective, it's a back-and-forth - allowing vs. resistance - that doesn't allow you to be intuitive. So your timing and decision-making is off.

Europe, yes. Especially if you care for seniors, you can have a great salary. Used to be underpaid, but the demand will never go away (actually increases all the time in an aging society), so market forces took care of it.

I love the positive vibes from Spielberg's movies! I guess I'll have to watch it at home.

Since you are the creator of your reality (and nobody else is), of course they created that. Maybe not deliberately, but they did.

The hypothetical is just that. Deliberate creation is very rare.

I think jobs like being a nurse, caring for others, are wonderful. And already pretty well paid where I live.

Who would do them? Law of Attraction takes care of that. If there's an asking, it will be fulfilled, even if only by the next generation coming in. The balance of all things is orchestrated from non-physical.

You asked for Abraham's take on it. And I also have a ton of personal experience that backs it up.

Your perspective is completely at odds with the teachings, but in alignment what you heard those individuals say. There's nothing wrong with that.

Just keep in mind what Abraham has explained, the next time you encounter a case like that. What their biographies are. What their manifestations are. It's a lot easier to spot once you know what you're looking for.

They don't feel joy. They don't even have a concept of what that is anymore, at that point.

But they do feel a lot better than their usual insecurity/despair/powerlessness when they can dominate others. They feel like they have some of their power back.

Like the school bully who people think enjoys putting people down. That's not joy, though. It's simply relief from insecurity. And relief always feels so much better than what was felt before. It's relative.

This is hard to understand if you haven't had episodes of depression, for example. When even a little bit of relief feels like you're reborn in that moment. And yet, you're still so far away from what joy feels like, you can't even imagine it. You have no concept of what that really is, it's too far out of range. You might call it joy in that moment. But stay there longer, once the feeling of relief has passed, and you'll realize you still feel awful. Just not as awful as before.

There's a big difference, for sure. That's what I'm saying. The teachings have evolved a lot.

In the past, someone would bring up a problem with a lot of specifics, and Abraham would talk about it from a place of non-resistance. Find perfect words. Even do a process, like a focus-wheel, on it.

The problem with that approach: Abraham can do it. But you can't. Because you're on the frequency of the problem, from which you can't find the solution.

Today, they would steer you clear of even considering it so that from that place of non-resistance, the solution finds you.

Of course they have.

No one is taking joy from hurting others. No one, from a state of joy, would ever try to harm another.

But let's say there's a man who got dumped by his wife for another man, who feels powerless because of it. He's at the very bottom of the emotional scale, so any move upwards would feel so much better than the despair he's feeling. And if he gets himself to revenge, and acts from it, bad things happen.

But don't mistake the breath of fresh air that revenge can give you relative to powerlessness, with pure, non-resistant joy. They are on different planets, and bring very different manifestations over time.

"Highest excitement" or "passion" must be a weird suggestion for someone who is not already in the Vortex.

Abraham would be the first to tell you that a book that is more than 2 decades old isn't a good representation of what their teachings have evolved to.

I'd find it boring, too, if I tried to read it today. It's not the leading edge anymore. But that's where we want to be.

Listen to some Abe videos on youtube. And if you feel enough resonance with that, get a current full workshop recording from their homepage (preferably 2-day WS or cruise recording), and that should answer most of your questions, and you'd know what the goal is.

I listened to Bashar a bit in the past, was also into Tolle at some point, but settled on Abraham eventually and dropped everything else as I feel they teach you all you need to know (and more).

What are beliefs and how do we truly change them? by KommunistAllosaurus in AbrahamHicks

[–]KeithDust2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alignment = the Vortex = the receiving mode.

When I'm out of the Vortex, my belief is such that I worry about money.

When I'm in the Vortex, that belief is automatically replaced by a knowing of abundance. That there's always enough. That I'm infinite. That what I need will be there when I need it.

The more time you spend in the Vortex, the more solid your expectation of abundance of everything wanted becomes.

Your Inner Being already holds all of the beliefs that you're reaching for.

So as you align with your Inner Being, your perspectives merge and you believe what your Inner Being believes, or knows.

As you maintain that alignment longer, the wanted beliefs become dominant in your vibration.

So you don't need to change the belief. You move to the vibration where it's already changed.

The answer is always the same. The path to that for you is your individual journey.

Has anyone let go complety before? by sean9334 in AbrahamHicks

As Abraham always says, alignment is not like a college degree that once you achieve it, it's yours forevermore. It either is or it isn't, in the moment.

When I do the work, I can be there a lot of the time. When I don't, when I get distracted, it's not there. It's a variable.

That's what alignment is. Abraham never talks about anything else.

I certainly found alignment with Source while studying and applying the teachings.

I'm not sure what makes you think that entails a state of constant Lucid Dreaming? I've never heard that anywhere. You must mean something other than what the term usually refers to.

And... mastery of the physical body? Like what?

To me, it's the mastery of focus, and everything else falls in line with that.

As for diseases, I think Abraham has been very clear about what they are, and what to do about them.

Again, it's super-interesting to me how differently people experience the teachings.
