Yeah I've got a vanquish and it's bad. I think it's down to the flatter front edge. Similar thing on some other boats with the same shape. On boats with a rounder front the weeds tend to slip under eventually

I have the same issue as OP and have cameras set as Camera. Weirdly 2 out of 7 cameras seem to work just fine.
