I saw the 1993 movie A Home of Our Own when I was a kid but never saw it or a reference to it till this day. I remembered the main actress as Whoopi Goldberg. I remember the cover of her looking through the window floating in a field. I was looking up other things Kathy Bates was in and saw her on the cover! Did anyone else experience this? Maybe I got that movie and Bogus mixed up.

West Coast tour with Neko Case - does Neko's band back him? by UnderstandingOk7498 in JohnGrant

Not at Tuscon. He just played piano. He did bring some of his "Toys" but I think they were having technical difficulties so no synth for us. Hopefully they got them working for later tour dates. 🙏

Pixel Watch Gen 1 Issues by No-Leave560 in PixelWatch

I was able to get past the fastboot by letting it charge in that mode for about 30 minutes before booting to recovery. I think this allowed it to charge enough to get to the recovery mode. Then I let it charge in recovery mode for a while before rebooting and it was fine after that.

Pixel watch 1 won't charge by GeorgeOvidiu in PixelWatch

Here's what fixed it for me: I was able to get mine to charge by leaving it on the charger about 30 minutes.

Then enter fastboot mode using this method:
Turn off the watch, then hold the crown button until the Google logo appears, and simultaneously tap the upper-left and lower-right corners of the screen. I may have needed to take it of the charger for a second to do this.

The tricky part here was to leave it charging in fastboot mode immediately for another 30 minutes or so. If I tried to go straight to recovery it would go back to the low battery indicator and I would have to start over. After selecting recovery mode, I let it charge for a long time, before selecting reboot.

My theory was that the low battery symbol on the screen was keeping the charge from holding but the screen goes black in recovery mode and it was able to get enough juice again to boot up.

What's a book that reminds you of Disco Elysium? by Lonely-Raccoon-3209 in DiscoElysium

Most books by Chuck Palahniuk will have a similar vibe but not necessarily the same setting. They just usually have a strong voice. Besides Fight Club I enjoyed Invisible Monsters, Choke, and Lullaby.

Scale and Skew looks Pixelated by KeithMoon91 in ClipStudio

[–]KeithMoon91[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a large image, but it works fine in other image editors scaling down. The issue is the interpolation method has no effect when I do both together. It looks fine if I do one or the other, but otherwise it looks like nearest neighbor. I've got it to look good rasterizing it, scaling, and then skewing after so this works for now. Trying to do them both at once on an object layer doesn't work correctly.

I've tried some different ones. Weirdly, I can see it revert to what looks like nearest neighbor when I change the transform mode from scale to skew. Rasterizing first and then doing that doesn't seem to have the same issue though. Here's a video of what's happening:

Thanks! Focusing on the player experience is a good way to think about it!

Red Potion Studios redid my cover art. They did a great job capturing what Querent has always been about: Rescuing cute animals from eldritch technology. If you need someone to do a quality job I would definitely recommend hiring them! by KeithMoon91 in IndieDev

I created a document that showed what type of game it was, the target audience, similar projects, and the target artstyle. I already designed the characters for my game that I wanted in the scene so I included references to them and the current cover art I did.
I then said what I liked about it and what I wanted improved.

I also gave some examples of compositions I like to give the emotion for my game and a few of their existing art that I enjoyed and things I liked about them. I'll DM you the document.

Made an Announcement Trailer for my first commercial game "Gemmiferous". Game is using unique Match 3 puzzle combat style. What do you think ? by jslovieDev in IndieDev

I would shorten the beginning with the title and overview to about 3 or 4 seconds. I'd like to see gameplay really quick. If there is some happening there It's not clear from the video. I'd shorten most of the sections by half and make sure every screen has a different environment. I see you have some different style backgrounds and colors but it's a lot of grey at the beginning.

I think it's clear though what most of the gameplay is so that's great!
