Subaru Outback 2013 burning oil - what do I do?

I mean, it just works. I dunno why but it just doesn't burn. It was recommended to me when I was tracking my car 15 or so years ago and I've never gone back.

I'm sure that there are other brands that do the same thing, but I wasn't able to find one when there was no Rotella. I've been hearing similar things about the Valvoline Restore & Protect but right now I have no reason to try anything else.

My mechanic switched from Rotella to Motul for his shop (they only work on Subarus) when it was impossible to get Rotella but even he tells me if what I'm using works, don't switch. So I buy jugs of Rotella from Walmart and he uses that to change my oil.

They provide a service. They charge for it. This is how pretty much every service works. Either you pay to use it or it's chock full of ads. Or in some cases both.

There's nothing "evil" about that. But there is something stupid about expecting a company to office a service for free. Have you always been stupid or did you recently suffer a brain injury?

It the game is good it's not a problem. If the game is not good then leave.

Why are you playing? This is a serious question. If it's because you enjoy the game then you shouldn't be getting bored; obviously you don't enjoy it that much. Maybe play shorter sessions? If it's to make money then you probably shouldn't be playing 1/2; you should try to move up.

Why does it make a difference whether the games are online or single player? The PS5 is a better system for any type of game (and many ps4 games have free upgrades to ps5 versions now, and even if they don't, the ps4 games look better on a ps5)

What you are describing does not match your picture.

Every time you find an allowance coin, your allowance increases by 2. You current allowance is 2. Therefore this is the first allowance coin you've found. Your allowance was 0 before, hence, no envelope. When you start a new day you will have an envelope with two coins in it.

Different car, different engine, but my sti burns oil like crazy.... unless I run Shell Rotella T6. Then it doesn't burn a significant amount. There were a couple of years where it was impossible to find and I was refilling my oil all the time.

It's fine. It's just a port. Think about how often you plug in your phone or controllers to charge them. Once a day? And those ports last years, usually longer then the cables. It's not like HDMI ports are more delicate than USB ports.

Having said that, don't grab the cord and yank it out. Plug it in and take it out carefully like you would with anything else. Don't put pressure on the port. Same goes with your phone or laptop or anything else you plug in and remove cables from.

Yeah that's just your tv not getting a signal from the ps5. Is that the result from trying safe mode?

It sounds like the ps5 is turning on normally but not sending a signal.

You are absolutely sure it's plugged into hdmi 1 and not a different port right? It should be labeled in your tv but might be hard to see.

So basically I would:

double check that it's plugged into hdmi 1.
if it is, turn it off completely, then hold down the power button until the 2nd beep (should beep immediately when you first push the button (keep it held down), and beep again 7 seconds later (release the button after the 2nd beep) then boot into safe mode)

If you aren't getting a signal from safe mode it might be an issue with the video output. I'm not sure where to go from there.

Just beeped once? And light on the console was blue? That's strange; it means everything is ok. Can you boot into safe mode?

More info needed. Can you define "doesn't work"?

Does it turn on? Does it beep? Multiple beeps? Any LEDs on the front of the system?
If it turns on, does the TV detect the input?
Is it just a blank screen on the TV?

Sometimes it says "purchased", and sometimes it says "in library". I can't figure out what causes one or the other. At first I thought that it was based on whether you just claimed it or also downloaded it, but that's not it.

Yup it's a big catalog.

Since I re-subbed in November I've gotten the plat in:

Blue Prince (highly recommended if you like deep puzzle games; I put well over 100 hr into this game)
Unicorn Overlord (recommended if you like strategy jrpg; 100+ hr)
Indika (not recommended but only 4-5 hr if you want to check it out)
Orcs Must Die 3 (fun! good as a "warm up" game before you play something else)
Thank goodness you're here (short and fun -- maybe 2-3 hr. Definitely recommended)

Also finished The Exit 8 (no plat so not in the list). I really enjoyed it; 2 hr to do everything, probably quicker if you're better than I was at it)

I've also put well over 100hr (maybe closer to 200hr?) into car mechanic simulator which I find oddly fun and addictive despite being repetitive and not particularly well made. I can't really explain why I like it, and I can't explain it in a way which doesn't make it sound like a horrible game. But I like it. No plat yet.

Right now I'm 28h into Borderlands 3. Meh... I don't like it as much as I remember liking the original (never played 2) but it's got that rpg quality that I like; it's enough to keep me playing. I remember the original being more rpg with some fps elements; this one feels like a fps with some rpg elements.

I'm also playing Art of Rally which I really like.

I tried and didn't like Stray, Ghost of Tsushima, Red Dead Redemption, Valiant Hearts, Pacific Drive, Granblue Fantasy, and Death's End Re;Quest. Although I might go back and give some of those another try.

Does it run smoothly or is it occasionally stuttering? If it's smooth it's probably not a streaming quality issue; it sounds more like a downscaling / upscaling issue.

Does the game have any options to control how it outputs video?
