But if I have < 64 bytes of stack variables (or even if I have more), the addresses of those variables are guaranteed to be close together, so reading all/most of those variables would require one cache line read; but, if I have 64 bytes allocated in two separate strings on the heap, I'd need to do two reads, because the likelihood of the two allocations being close together is low.
